Hello MSC, Decided to work on a little project today. I grabbed this Trumpeter Russian KV-1 off the shelf. Thought it would make a nice filler kit whilst I work on a couple of other builds. The Kit: In the front there is the Aber fenders for the KV-1 & 2. Grabbed these from a show last year. With the exception of the PE fenders, this build should be mostly OOB. Moving forward: Removed some weld beads that didn't look quite right and will be cleaning some other parts up later tonight. Thanks for stopping by!!

Very cool T. I've been waiting for you to start this one. I'll be working on my wrecked KVI after the JT so this will give me the mojo to finish it. Good start on the hull bro.

LOL...Figured you would sense the "disturbance in the force"... ! Always a pleasure to have you along for the ride, Rob!! ;D Yup, caved in and said I needed something to fill in some times when you wait for things to dry and such. Should move right along though. Thinking you might like it, no big bells and whistles, just build it!!!! Paint it!!!! Display it!!!!

Chris...Either way, I think I end up stepping in "it" sooner or later!! Things seemed pretty slow over there too. Rob, Hull assembled...minus the suspension arms. Calling it quits before I screw up the PE rear grill. Pretty nice and easy kit! Thinking you just like that "New Kit Smell"

Not quite yet Rob!! Been splitting my time a bit!! Feeling like you. Just get started and someone pulls me off! Not to mention the computer work that goes along with it all!!!! Anywho..... Another small update to this.... Upper hull sections on and start to her legs so to speak ;D Some weld beads started. Working on some of the beads in the back and some PE to put in!! Thanks for having a peek!!!

Nice work T. Love the welds, worth the work for sure. I just noticed that the kit you have is in the newer style box. Wondering what the difference might be, if any. I'll just the numbers, could be the inclusion of PE for the intake screens !! Anyhow. she is starting to look great bro. And yeah, welcome to my ( and Ken's) world bro. LOTS of pc and camera work behind a build sometimes. Really drags the build and paint process out, and sometimes to the point where it's not fun and you want to build something else.
Your doing fine bro, can't wait to see it done.

Hey, thanks Rob, Tolga and Guy!
Rob - Yeah, not a big fan of running up and down for pics...especially on a couple projects at once, but it gotta be done. Not sure on the model number at the moment. I will shoot you a PM when I get home. BTW it did come with the PE screens and turned barrel.

I know, not a huge update but here it is! I cleaned up all the suspension parts last night and got a couple PE pieces together. Pushing on tonight!! I did manage to bend up the side grills last night as well...they will be installed shortly ;D After that I am trying to finish up the remaining welds. Thanks for having a LQQY!!!
