Hey fellas! In an effort to progress forward. I laid down a light dull coat to tone things back a bit and installed the suspension. Figured I would pop the turret on the see how she sits... Now onto some wheels/sprockets...tracks and a little playtime!!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Looks good with the steel pigs bro. One thing you can do is leave the tracks off and put her on dollies or cribbing !!

Todd- this is coming along brilliantly. I am starting to imagine an end point- Russian Factory, the MIG Productions "Russian Hooligan" figure standing in front of it, and " For the love of Stalin" Chalk marks all over it. "Decimate the Facists" etc... Any where near close? Steve

Pretty much spot on Steve!! I found a couple of figs but was not sure on getting them yet. I like that idea too!! There was a bit of confusion as to where i was going on this! This, I think, was it!!! Hence the name Anastasiya....My thought was some chalk benchmarking like center lines and maybe numbers, a date. Thought of one guy leaning over the front glacious etching Анастасия somewhere. "Decimate the Fascist" works too! Factory type scene...after developing track issues I think Rob has persuaded me in a better idea....."blocking" Or a support car, like on a rail system...workbench...tools whatever!! The name Anastasiya, may or may not be incorrect. This has been brought up to me. My thought on this is that it will be fine. Since the tank is essentially naked...before paint....which means that the well wishes and good luck mojo chalk writings would show until primed. So, with that...... Thought and ideas are welcome and I can pick and choose as I go.

Thanks G!! Color is a bit dark...but then again raw steel can be dark. I have some sections that will lighten soon. I need to add some dust, oil, grease and some arching of all things (curious if that works) This of course will tone down the shine in some areas.
That is a great compliment Rob! I am really looking forward to seeing the PE review!!! I love these KV's!!! I can't wait to get another one. Work up the Russian green on the next one!!!

Hey T, have you tried thinning some Vandyke brown oil paints as a filter !! This will help kill some of the satin and give it that metal look with the gray that's on there. I have been doing this with the round plate on the KV. You can stump it in areas to give it a random patchy look to the metal. Been doing this for years and found it still to be a great technique. Just a thought.

Appreciate those thought Rob!! I will give that a shot! I shot some dusting down last night, it toned some things down for starters....plenty more layer to go I am sure!!!
