The Magic track are the wrong ones (open guide teeth) solid guides are the correct ones. Friuls strike again ;D This Voyager PE set looks like loads of fun One thing though that I don't understand, the breech facing up or to the left? Any idea which way is more correct anyone? ? Thanks Tony

Nice one. I build the parts from the pe set scratch some years ago, so I will watch this post to look, how the pe parts will look like.

That's what I thought jackwagon but looking at the constructed breech at the lower left it show guard in place with the block facing left. Kinda awkward for the loader wouldn't you say so why would there be an option?

Can't help with the breech Tony. I just get confused with all the Panzer III/IV tracks you can get!
Interesting subject, Tony, in capable hands.

That's a nice kit there Tony. Built that a couple of years ago. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Don't remember Tony. I did it as a factory build and the breech was covered in a tarp.

Hey Tony just did a check, the two different breach styles are for two different guns. One is for the prototype and the other is for the production models.

Yeah I know but why is my question. It's been said: facing left with no guard= Arty Facing up with guard= Anti tank This is suppose to be artillery piece not anti tank so why the option? Tony

I'll see what I can find. So far the prototype has the lefh 18/1 L28 and the production was to have the lefh 43 L28. Will see if I can find the difference between the two.

Hey Uncle Tony, I think dragon is pulling a fast one! I checked on both types of guns and they both have the breach facing the left. HTH!

This is the Dragon poster showing the vertical breech. The kit instruction sheet shows the horz. breech. I did a search for the lefh 43 L/28 and never found not one picture. Tony

Hey Tony, Did a double check with a friend of mine (seeadler) about the gun and he said that the gun used in the grasshopper was the same as the gun in the stug III. I checked the interior photos of actual stugs and my first answer in wrong. The breach for the guns in the stugs face up. I hope I didn't get this to you to late!

Never fear all is well While watching the race I just got a head start cleaning up parts and dry fitting. I read that about the StuG but I thought they were just referring to the mounting base. You did well my friend, Thanks Tony

Off to a good start here Tony! Going to look great sitting next to its cousin. Got to love DML's "options" choices...always fun puzzling out when and how to use them. Glad you got it figured out.
