Hello fellas, Well, ordering PE grilles just isnt in the cards for me. So, i decided to try and make my own out of some mesh. They look ok i guess and will pass in 1/72nd. However, i would like you guys input whether to leave them on or take them off? Are they ok or they look rediculous? By bbd468 at 2012-07-19 By bbd468 at 2012-07-19 Let me know what you think fellas. Thanks! Gary

Nicely done, Gary. Screens look fine, IMHO. Wonderful choice on the camo. I got a thing myself for the simple beauty of the two-tone camo:)

Thanks brother John! I apllied the camo. I think it turned out ok. I just started shooting paint as random as i could without completely botching it. ;D DSCF2647 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2648 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2649 by BBD468, on Flickr Thanks for looking fellas! Gary

Looks like a perfect scheme for Kursk Gary! And ditto to John's comments on the screens.

Thanks fellas! I appreciate the kind words. Well, my first attempt applying decals was a disaster! I had chose to do #745 of Abt.52 Rgt39, Kursk. Decals...RIP. I have now applied Pz.Rgt. "grossdeutschland", Karachev 1943. Camo is very similar on both so all is well. DSCF2658 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2656 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF2657 by BBD468, on Flickr Thanks for looking fellas. what happened to the Decals?

what happened to the Decals? Hey Spud, The side turret decals #745 were large, and they just wouldnt settle over the raised detail, pistol ports, no matter how carefully i messaged them with micro-sol. They finally broke and started disintegrate. so off they came. It was a mess and i had to wet sand the gloss a bit and re spray the turret sides with future to apply the other decals. It will be ok i reckon. Gary

Gary, The swap-out seems to have gone fine, looks good even if it is your 2nd choice of markings. Thank goodness for extra decals in the kits eh?
