You left me speechless, it' s an amazing work. The beastly appearance of the IS-2 stands out with your nice paintjob. Can't wait for an update

Last days I have done some work on the turret, I have used several washes with Oil paints in the colors brown and green just to tone down the CM a little and I`m reasonable happy with the result so far. Next step some dust, dirt and rust Really hate close-ups

Little late but thanks guys. The turret is ready so far as possible at this moment. To be honest I`m not happy with the rain marks its looks to monotone. First I have used MIG rain marks but after eight layers I did see nothing happens and used then thinned down Humbroll 72. Now I`m thinking should I leave the turret this way or should I use some secondary color to break the monotone look of it? Thinking off a mix of the 72 with a little earth or maybe just some green streaks? ?? Ron

looking good Ron, how about using some streaking grime? the green i think wouldn't stand out as much if you used that.

I think it looks fine the way it is. But if you wanted a little more color, I would do as spud suggested and use some dark streaking grime. Sparingly of coarse.

I agree with the others gentlemens suggestions should you choose to do so. It is a fine build as is, but i agree with your assesment of breaking up the monotone look. Well done so far man! Gary

Do you need a Kick in the stones to help you see it with a clean mind? It looks the Dogs Ron, Just keep adding layers until you are happy

Can't see anything wrong with it from here Ron, looks good! Sometimes the first time out the result doesn't quite match up with your mind's eye of how it "should" come out but that's not necessarily a bad thing. As you say, it provides an opportunity to learn and tweak/adjust in the future or with additional layers/effects on the present build.
