I have made a start on a small vignette base for the T34 i came up with an idea which i have not seen yet i wanted the base to look like a section of earth has been cut out of the ground and plonked onto a plinth. For this i used some 50mm styrofoam shaped with some sandpaper then sealed the piece with some PVA once this was dry it was given a coat of brown acrylic paint as a base colour for the dirt. Then Pva was used to stick some dirt and roots to the base edges this took a few goes to get the effect i wanted next up will be some long grass more on that soon...... Then i took some pics of the plinth i will be using and with the T34. I put Fritz and Heindrich on the base to see if some figures would suit this area which im hoping to put there in the end Dan B

Hey chaps a small update of some slow progress as im getting the figures painted two are done now im 50% done on the officer figures im not a figure painter and have never enjoyed painting them but with using some new techniques and Stalingrad figures the process has been a lot more enjoyable im thinking at the moment of a suitable title for this piece any help would be appreciated from you guys the scene is of the russians pushing the germans back and gaining lost ground and with the officer figures they giving the tank commander battle orders heres some pics also i added some more stowage to t34 ammo boxes need painting and are resin from Value Gear the detail is amazing also i will be adding some tarps Dan B
