Bob , have you looked at the Sam-6 kit yet ? I thought bout picking one of those up . Sounded like a nice kit except the detail on the missiles is lacking and no stenciling on them ..........so i read any way .  |

Carl - I have it in my stash, I poked around in the box but didnt crack any bags to take a hard look yet. Looks OK to me, fair detail and crisp moldings. Have to check to see if there is any stencils for the missles.

Well phase one is completed. here are the sort of final shots. Next will be phase two of what is being hauled. still a toss up. Im still leaning towards the SA-6 Gainful but I cant see it being hauled with missles in place.............maybe Im wrong but I need to look into it. Here ya go. keep in mind I missed the spares on top which now have a light coat of dust on them. other little hauling bts will be added when the load is completed IE: chains and stuff.            Enjoy, leet me know your thoughts on the kit to be hauled. Oh and a belated HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. Bob |

Man,that is a lot of weathering ! I find it difficult to keep tract of that much weathering ...especially something this large . You kept the weathering in harmony throughout the entire rig . Only one spot i noticed that you may have missed is in the last pic , on the catwalk/fender behind the fuel can you might have missed that spot with your weathering mix ........or not ?
On the Sa-6 Gainful , i'm thinking that the missiles might not be on the launcher durring transport also . Hmmmmm .......?
Have you looked at the gainful kit yet ? I read the detail is good on the launchers and vehicle itself but the missiles are sparse. I've been thinking of ordering that kit is why i ask .

i cant help with the load to be hauled but by god i can tell you if you put that with the right backdrop one would have trouble picking up that it is a model. fantastic work.

Out of curriosity i looked up the transport for the SA-6 missiles and i found that its called the AT-7 transport . I thought it might be interesting to see what the Russians used . Loading .  |

DP - thanks and well over a foot buddy, This thing takes up a lot of real estate. more when i eventually get the base done.
Carl - thanks mate I appreciate it. I tried to keep in balanced the best I could and it seems to have worked out OK.
