Hey All I don't think it's so ugly it just has a unique style that's all. Time to eat,I shall return Tony I agree with you. SPGs are something different. They're not comparable to other tanks That's to say I like it too, I find it beautiful (but I'm afraid I'm too easy to rule out of the beauty contest, given I find wonderful all russian artillery tractors). Great job on that green

Looking good in the details department Tony! If Dicky starts mumbling about guys named Ishmael and saying 'thar she blows!' at random intervals we'll know what caused it.

oooh that's some lovely painting you got there Tony L!!! btw, love how those exhausts look, how did you get that effect? Cheers

Post by tonylee-Rest In Peace on Dec 4, 2012 10:23:48 GMT -5
Those exhaust were done with the LifeColor Rust and Dust Paint set.
I first wet the surface, not soakin wet but wet,and touch the wet surface with small amounts of color. The colors will fan out into each other because of the pre-moisten surface, some brush help may be necessary for what ever effect you're after.
I let it dry for a little while and then I grind up some pencil lead, add a drop of water to it and paint this over the top for the burned rust effect.
All done Tony

Boo I said I would be back on this while the Bishop is in dry dock and here I am. Did some more detail painting, there's not much because they put a $19.95 paint job on it,ALL GREEN. ;D Gave that some time to dry and then sprayed it with Future and in another hour or so will put the decals on. Give those some drying time and then seal em up with a coat of Future. Should be ready to start the washes tomorrow. Maybe a decal photo later See you then Tony lee
