I'm going to call this one done although I see a string that needs to be tied down. Funny how you only see some things after you think you are done. I applied oil paints to accent raised details and a few washes to add some contrast. This needed to cure for a while which is why I started the truck. When the oils had finally set I started with an overall dusting of pigments applied but wet and dry. These were brushed or rubbed off as needed. AK Dust Effects and Dark Mud were applied both individually or mixed by either flicking with an old brush over a toothpick or using the airbrush to flick the paint - thanks Fabrizio! I did this many many times to build up the paint on the running gears. To add some volume, I mixed pigments in with the AK and when dried, I was able to brush and scrape at the dried mud to create the scratches. The photos don't capture the sheen from fluid spills on the engine deck. If anything seems out of sorts, let me know. Additional images can be found here:> A22 ChurchillI think the photos might be a little harsh. I'll check on another monitor.
