I'd like to spray more parts today. This is a big adventure because rust bucket projects are completely new to me !!! And I don't have all this stuff yet, so creativity and luck will be the key words I'm afraid...

OK guys  , I began the engine 'acrylic' rust treatment. First I want to go for some acrylic rust effects, quite basic effects of course...   Still a bit of 'acrylic' rusting to go...then I want to add more aged colors were necessary. Hope you like it. Best regards ! G. |

VERY VERY nice to read you 'rust professionals' like it so far !  Today my plan was to go for a second oil paint wash session, however I thought a soft drybrushing would be effective also in this stage op the lump operation.  Hope you still like it ! Best regards ! G. |

You're right Chris, drybrushing remains an important method to add paint to a model when done carefully and softly. Tx mate !

There's still work to do guys. Your comments on this rust adventure are important to me, today I want to make it come to live more by washing on extra rust tones.
After that pigments will be used...and more (yes...AK stuff).

I found that you can keep applying light layers of washes and filters ( mixed with pigments, inbetween ) to get even more effects. Not saying this needs it.  You can really spend a lot of time playing with just the motor....loads of fun. |

Don't be mad at me guys, I have decided to try something else on the engine, pigments etc. were washed away so only the rust colors are still there. The photos above show a better engine then in reality on my work table...
I've found reference pics of an old painted engine and I'll try again. Luckily it's a passion ! (says a fool LOL).
