Afternoon MSC I thought as it was Friday I would get a blog up and running. Being mad on Russian/Soviet military the newly acquired BTR-60 would get my attention! Hopefully this shall end up in a neat diorama set in a village in Chechnya with special forces moving through. I started gluing and sniffing with the interior, Trumpy provide quite a nice interior with enough to see through the hatches, you start with the flooring which is moulded rather nicely and should look rather good covered in mud oil and grime! Moving onto the seats they are really well moulded with a fabric pattern and creases. Once all the parts are glued you can mount them to the flooring and then you stick a steering wheel in too. once all main components are down you can stick them all in and bingo! Progress has been made! ;D I do have a couple of exams next week so hopefully I should be able to give you an update at some point. I also break up for Christmas next Friday too so more time to model ;D certainly not Jaymes

Nice Martyn, good start. Looks like a decent enough interior to load up with stuff?
Skip a few lessons, keep it coming!

Thanks for the support guys I must admit the kit is superb and well worth buying. Next up is more work on the interior including more armour to the bulk head and starting to add little details including the communication gear. Marty(N!)

Gary: Thanks man and yes I say its a fantastic kit, buy it you will have loads of fun. And I agree with what Dicky said... We love Trumpeter More progress! Adding more bits to the interior such as roof supports and the dash board I think I can say I'm getting there with this build Starting the upper hull you get some nice bits to stick which are for the air intake and for NBC protection. Then flip the upper hull over and I started too add all the hatches and pistol ports, instead of doing a cut away which I don't fancy doing instead I will try and keep as many hatches as I can open! She's got a nice rear Just moving onto her derrière I added the propeller and the guard so she can go for a swim "down the hatch" as you can see there is a fair bit of the interior exposed by the big hatches. Finally I'm really trying to get the interior ao I can finish it and finally button her up and move on to the exterior, that means not strictly following the instructions and skippings steps: 5,6,7,8,9,10.... etc you end up at the turret where you get this gorgeous and rather well detailed turret basket Thats all for now hopefully I can now get some paint on the interior and start the diorama. Martyn!

Hello martyncrowther! I got this kit for Xmas Your build looks nice, but take care... this vehicle was not in Chechnya, I think it's used only at training fields Just a prototype for a BTR-60 upgrade program.

Hi Mokush I realize that now thanks, the web doesn't bring much up other than a few pictures like yours but there are a few videos out there of it in training but I guess you have those videos too? So I I will change the diorama of it in training! I have not forgotten about this build I will update today or tommorow Martyn
