How are we going to know when you post that KV2 interior info?

The side view of the KV2 turret was fantastic and a large jump forward in knowing what was inside the turret. Is there any chance that a top view might exist for this turret? In any event I saw some very fine modle work, Russian model builders are very creative in the way they make scratch parts. Thank you and Andrey for providing so much information.

Those, that Z posted, are about the only real pics of the interior of a KV. There are a few of a rusty and not so intact trans comp pics. Not many of the engine comp or intact turret interior. Kind of like the JSU 152, not much out there yet.

Kind of like the JSU 152, not much out there yet. I have LOTS of information on the engine if you need any, the engine for all practical purposes is very near to being the same as the T34 engine, the transmission is different and was so bad initially the vehicles would be seen with an extra transmission strapped on the back giving a new meaning to "spare tire." Its that turret that has been the mystery until Andrey come through, another view from the end or top will be needed to make any serious interior parts. If there was one plan sheet there could very well be another. We KV fans owe Andrey a big vote of thanks.Bones

Excellent ref pics of the interior Andrey. Once I get my hands on the JSU152 with partial interior/gun and cradle, I'll get to working on the interior of the KVII. Of course I now need to get yet another Trumpy KVII kit..lol

Andrey
I want to thank you for posting these pictures from the book by Maxim Kolomyet, it has opened up many new options in building KV2 vehicles. It is unfortunate that the Russian Army does not have the funds to restore this stripped out turret back to its original condition being its a sole survivor. I wonder if the Army would have the original plans in their files, I suppose that would be too much to hope for. Again thank you for your help.

Does the JSU152 have the same gun as the KV2? Whose JSU152 are you going to build and does it have any interior parts already? I might like to add one of these to my list. There is a Cyber Hobby kit and a recent Tamiya 35303 upgrade in 2009 are they all thats offered in ISU152?

A little surfing and bingo I find that Bronco ISU152 is the way to go has enough interior to make a passable build, finding a reference seems a bit more difficult..

ISU-152 and SU-152 had ML-20S gun. KV-2 had M-10T gun. ML-20 were twice as heavier than M-10. Production of M-10 was finished in autumn 1941.

Looking very good, like the shell damage, are the figures from earlier going to be part of this? The really give a lot of perspective to the massive size of these vehicles.
