Hello all, Man, i sure appreciate all your kind words fellas. Spud, i just practiced the camo pattern the night before till i figured i can move on to the Marder. Looking at your paints there, looks like you "pre-faded" the green and brown - did you mix in some dark yellow or desert yellow to make them come out less harsh? The contrast level seems waaaay reduced from what you normally get laying straight Tamiya colors.
I think I like that idea better than having to go back after the fact with a thin mix of the base layer (if that's what you're doing!).

Man, i did in fact go back with the base color...very highly diluted and misted over the camo to tone down the starkness and tie it all together. I do it on all my german tri camo schemes. Hey T., I got the Tracks to paint now as well as the Jack Block, muffler guard, Wire cutters, rear gate and a couple other bits. So ill be messin with that as the Gloss dries for decals. Yep...word of the day: "Patience". Gary |
