Guys- Little update... the little bird is now ARMED and DANGEROUS. You guys better watch out especially you Dicky. LOLOLOL Now that minigun looks damn good. Worth all of frustration I had gone thru earlier... I need to add wirings to the weapons next...

It sure looks pretty dangerous with those nice miniguns Andy. Better hurry it up some as the show is just a little over 2 weeks away. We got some of that crappy snow down here too.

Sorry for not posting for a long time, I see you made some great progresses Andy The fit issues are awful, what a dog of a kit... I usually dip the canopy only once, as future is such a powerful gloss coat. BTW less is more, putting only one layer shoud help you in case you'd need to scrap the paintwork, as future is easy to remove (ammonia should peel it away).

MF- LOL Glad you like it so far! I even tried to sell my wife's dogs but she won't let me. In some way I am glad she didn't let me because I am having second thoughts... I'd rather to buy those WWII helmets first to make my collection complete. They are not cheap either but I can show them to anybody anytime and anywhere you know. Gary- Thanks buddy!!! Trying my best to finish it... two weeks and half to go. President? Oh you meant the Dictator? LOL Carl- Thanks my good friend! Steve- I have learned something... Dragon rotary kits are not always that good but manageable so far. Love those miniguns... worth it now even tho I hated working on 'em earlier. Thanks for stopping by! Sam- Thanks... appreciate it! Worth the work but not sure if I want to do them again. Now Live Resin sells nice mini guns... thinking about getting them for my Blackhawk kit. LOL John- NO KIDDING! Wanna come over tonight to help me? LOL I think I will make it... keep your fat fingers crossed for me. I am kinda thankful for the snow... working from home so it means more bench time today! Thanks my friend! Luigi- Glad I only did once... it seemed to do the trick. It is now covered with masking tape then brushed with Klear/Future so paint won't creep under you know. Thanks for the tip about using ammonia. Glad you like it so far... more to come buddy! Ceresvesta- Thanks mate!!!

Your wife made a good call Andy...you know you've gone too far in your collecting when it starts to require withdrawals from your retirement account to fund new stuff! Miniguns look mean and well worth the torture you went through, once you pair them up with those ammo belts, watch out!

Dicky- No kidding... Deafpanzer is very dangerous with just anything even a model knife... Agree it looks great now just because it is armed now. Thanks mate! Bill- Sometimes it is great having a wife who brings in the balance... I like to shop and she doesn't. In some way we have to agree that any WWII Luger will have better return in investment than anything from the Wall Street at this moment. My 401k is finally little more than what I have lost since Sept 11... maybe I should be buying gold instead.

Leon- Thanks buddy... appreciate you stopping by! Guys- There has been a disaster last night. While gluing the canopy to the fuselage, I pressed too much pressure on the little bird... felt something snapped. Remember I can't hear... LOL Crap! No worries... good thing I have learned from guys like Dicky... have plenty of spare styrene stuff so I took inserted two rods made of styrene from Evergreen set and had the skid re-attached. Lost about two hours of work... unfortunately time is so precious especially when I am running out of time. So I went ahead and started working on the base to allow the little bird's repaired skid to dry overnight... please bear with me the base was still wet when I took the pic. See the block made of styrene? I plan to fill it up with paster tonight... base for the little bird to sit on as shown in the reference pictures I am using. See a lot of stones and rocks... but this time it will be in Iraq or Afghanistan of course! Desert sand... of course!

Leon- Glad you like the base so far... still a long way to go. Thanks for stopping by buddy! Dicky- Its your fault... I have been buying all kind of styrene every time I shop at LHS! Better get one at a time... I wish they sell everything in one big bag! Guys- the base is now ready to be painted. I used long coffee stir stick to create rough surface on the concrete. Figuring Afgahn or Iraq guys were not good at making concrete. Hope you like what I am trying to create... God, I love those ammo belt made of rubber from Cobra Company! They look 500 times better than the styrene version. Believe it or not I only used one out of four belts that came with the set. Plenty for future builds... After seeing many pictures of the miniguns, they had two wirings attached... more or less. I think one was for trigger and another was electrical power to make the barrels rotate? Behind the minigun, What do you think? Too thick? I think it will look OK once painted in black... remember black make overweight people like me look thinner. Thanks for looking...

Gary- Thanks brother! OK I will leave 'em on. Only 20 lbs? Black on me knocks about 50 lbs off... LOL Carl LOL! Good eyes you got for an old man! And I just noticed I forgot to remove seam on the edge of skid too. Don't you love dogs but hate their hair?!?!?!? MF72- Paint is coming soon... soon... soon... can't wait either! Maybe tonight? Gonna figure out how to cover the open cockpit... Peter- Thanks mate!!! Thinking about adding a beer keg this time... Steve- Glad you like the ammo belt... much better now. Now you know where to order if you ever need one. Thanks for stopping by!

Woweeee!!! Them Gummy Snakes I mean ammo belts look absolutely superb matey. The concrete base looks very realistic indeed and yes I can see perfectly what yer trying (and succeeding) to achieve The wiring is very neatly done and yer spot on regarding the colouring...... I wear black constantly Andy and yer right, in the dark it takes pounds orfe!!! Carl - That's a nose hair nowt to do with the dog...........I'd spot one a mile orfe, Debs leaves them everywhere! Dicky- LMAO! Thank God I wasn't drinking something or it would have been all over my laptop. Nose hair? Probably mine... Thanks for stopping by... always good hearing from you. Bill- Spending $18 plus shipping was probably worth it for those ammo belts. I don't get it... Dragon folks really thought they can bend their ammo belt made of styrene like this? See how many turns it has to go thru... good thing we have aftermarket companies to our rescue. Really appreciate you tagging along my friend!
