I love a good StuG build so I know this will be excellent!
I'll be bookmarking this thread to take tips as I have StuG III build planned (the 6633 Zimmed jobbie which I understand has an interior of sorts). I normally don't bother with the interior of my builds that will be buttoned up but I'm going to give it a go and leave some hatches open. I've also got Dragon's Flakpanzer I A - that will be getting more of the same. The reddish/Orange colour that you used on the base - is that supposed to reprent a primer or something else? It looks good.
Nothing wrong with maximizing bench time and posting pics later Rob, making good progress on this one. I'm guessing by the primer in the rear compartment area that some detail work will be taking place in that area perhaps or is that just to serve as a 'filler' for the underside?
Thanks Leon and Bill for the kind words. Actually did a bit more to the StuG in the form of tracks.
I started to clean the tracks, pin marks but since they were not really that bad, and the time to clean them, I just went ahead and just glued them together. Hope to get the little bits added this week.....and maybe paint sometime after.
Tracks are looking good Rob, I kind of figured the primer was just to check on things in general. Once you get that screen on and the air deflector fitted, only someone with a dental mirror would be able to tell!
