I use Squadron white putty but it dries pretty quickly that it doesn't allow me enough time to do things. I am trying to remember what do you add or mix with to allow more time... glue or thinner? What did you use?

OK got this figured out somehow.
Thanks fellas for the comments ad sorry I'm late.
Got a quick update. Well actually I have done this three times before I figured out I can only post in the quick reply. So I will keep it short ths time.
I've added some gelb camo to break up the all gray look. Next some buff for dust, followed by the chipping with AK chipping color. With that done I added some pin washes using AK dark brown wash and also the new Ship effects.
So here she is drying before I start to add more layers.
Very nice progress Rob, glad you got the posting issue sorted out so we could see this! Love the pattern and how it varies under the layers, top notch. I also like the slightly askew Notek light...gives it a slightly neglected feel.

The earth effects layering continues with another dusting with AK Dust, followed by DAK and ship decks washes.
Once the dust was dry I then mixed AK dust effects and light dust pigs. once dry the excess was removed.
Over this came the darker earth tones using DAK was and ship deck washes. I used the thick pigment mix from the bottom and applied this thick goo, then before it was dry I stippled and blended with a dampened brush. I still have some excess to remove, paint some details etc etc. Then I'll move onto the lower hull, wheels and tracks. For the rain marks, the light dust colored squiggly lines, I used the AK dust color and a fine tipped brush.....just for some visual effects.
