T, thank you for sharing with us this new Trumpeter 1:700 HMS Warspite ! This one really makes my day...a lot ! Because this ship took part in bombarding the German coastal defences of the Dutch Scheld shores (Autumn 1944)to allow the Canadian Forces to go inland and to destroy the Germans who were desperately trying to keep the allied ships away from the harbour of Antwerp (mines/heavy guns). Antwerp ment everything to the Allied forces because the Red Ball Express was becoming very long, so Antwerp was the solution. Many thousands of Canadians were killed during these operations. In fact it was called the Second D-Day ! Guess what I will buy VERY soon !

Great facts there G!! I read about some of the later battles of the Warspite...tough old broad! Highest decorated ship for the British from what I read and she was hit numerous times and still kept going all those years!! The 1/350 version after the refit in New Jersey ...I think that is Trumpy too...is a sweet kit! THe 1/700...you can't beat them for detail in small scale...price and space saving!!! Like any other model jut all the parts are small, not just half!! LOL!!
