Hey Brother G!
I gotta give Tony Lee credit for the Mr Color thinner trick! You gotta try it, I mix by the ol eye ball roughly 50/50 and I'm here to tell you, the Tamiya paint lays down slick as glass!

mmm...I used that Mr. Color once too I think...gives about the same result as using Tamiya's Lacquer Thinner...indeed supersmooth. I really enjoy spraying the Tammi paints the most. Well, you sure nailed it. Paintwork on the tools looks sweet as well dude!
Cheers

Wouts, Tojo, and Dicky, Thank you very much fellas! It’s hard to see in the pictures, but I was able to get the decals to snuggle down into the zimmerit.

Nicely done BJ, I have the 'Porsche' version with the moulded on zimmerit (still a WIP, for a year or two now ) and had lots of trouble to get the decals sit properly. Seems like you managed to do it properly ey Cheers

It is still looking great! Yep, the seller from China on eBay claimed its pure gold and its diamond is real. I won it for only $9... am very positive its real!
Can't wait to see more buddy!

Wouts Thanks mate. I just slid the decal into place, brushed on a liberal amount of Solveset, and gently kept patting it into the zim with a cotton swab. I did have to poke a few air bubbles and re apply the solveset a couple of times. Andy I'll tell yeah how to tell if the dimond is real. When you get it from China, scrape the dimond around the glass on your front door and see if you can cut a hole in the window... CS Thank you very much mate!

Can't wait to see more buddy! what's the weight of the diamond (carat) mate? I worked for years in the Antwerp diamond sector and 9$ for a diamond is deadcheap...so probably a very low quality or super mini stone Cheers

john it took me a few days but i finally got caught up.
she looks awesome from here. you did a great job with the decals. i have issues getting mine to snug down on a smooth surface.
now as for andy, you may wish to go old school on him. he is promising himself to a number of builds here lately. have him show how serious his intent is. have him give you something in trade.

Pin washes are done as far as I’m going to take them on the gloss coat. I’ll do the side with the tools on a flat coat as I feel I have a little more control in creating some shadow areas. Flat coat goes on tomorrow night.

It's looking really sweet now. Is this a Kampfgruppe Peiper vehicle? Are these kit decals or AM?
