Hi Spud the head looks great, perhaps a bit deeper shadow under the brow over the eyes and perhaps a dry brushing highlight on the beard to give it a few more tones, but other wise spot on

Thanks Steve this is a lot of fun i prefer the lager scales i have to admit but what i dont like is the how delicate the paint is on the metal soon as you put it down it chips i prefer resin figs i must admit.

Well the chipping happens when you don't prepare the figure properly and if you don't prime it with metal primer. You really need to be careful at those stages and you need to make sure they are done well. Cheers

I used Alclad 2 lacquer grey primer with micro filler, That chipped off really easy. then i used Vallejo black and that chipped too but not as much.
what primer do you use?

Automotive one There's nothing better and cheaper (I think) Did you wash all the parts and the greased them?

yes i Gave them a good wash and scrubbing . i may wash the parts and clean them back to metal and get an auto primer. except for teh head

Just so you know you don't need to use it straight out of can. You can put some of it out and apply it by airbrush.
