The last thing added to the Phantom was the front landing gear bay door; and then assembly of the cockpit canopies after painting them with Tamiya Flat Black. Painting the canopies was trying, but they came out very, very nice IMHO! Finally, painting Tamiya Clear Blue on the pilot front windshield. Sooooo, the model was now officially done!!! This is the main photo reference I was working from in the very beginning, which is what my friend confirmed he flew (not the exact plane, but same markings......
