First of all... sorry about the delay... the wife kept me pretty busy... visitors from New Orleans... end of school stuff for my boys, etc. Countless days of yard work to keep the wife happy... seven cubic yard of mulch. Never again!!! At least we get to eat plenty of gumbo... the chef from NOLA was in town. The best... chicken & spicy sausage gumbo! Found the way back to my work bench finally... I apologize about the beer but it helps me cope with the body soreness from yard work. Love 'em Tuborg beer! Tonight was night of the stowage! Stuff from Verlinden, Royal Model, & my new FAV Value Gear Detail (gray). I have to say I was not impressed with resin stowage set from Royal Model made for DUKW kits... way too much excessive molding to be removed. Take my word... I'd rather to buy more stowage sets from Value Gear. Very minimal cleaning and better details! Cutting the excessive parts from Royal Model was... TOO MESSY! The HORROR of a messy bench!!! Now what do you think? I will add few small stuff such as canteens, backpacks, weapons, etc. Maybe an issue of AK Weathering magazine since I don't think moderators will allow me to throw in a Playboy magazine. Wait a minute... it was not available 'til 1953. Thank you Pete 'Spud' for introducing Value Gear Details into my life by the way... they are awesome! Gonna get more...

Nice pile of mulch Andy . What's that on the edge of the pile ? A dinosaur egg ?
I like the panzer gray paint on the house . Looks pretty good from here .
The stowage looks great but that sure is a lot of excess resin !

Carl- YEP! Raising a bunch of Tyrannosaurus Rex to protect my stash from my friends like you. LOL Funny thing I had several painting companies come for quotes to have the house painted and they all asked if I wanted to change. I replied NO!!! Even my wife said the same... unique color for sure!
Glad you liked the stowage too... thanks buddy!

WOW Andy! I love that stowage man, it all looks right in place. How long did it take you to arrange it to those positions? DUDE....look like a Dinosaur dropped a giant poo on your yard!

LMAO! Believe me Dinosaur poop are much bigger than that!
Glad you liked the stowage... was tempted to add more but it may look unrealistic. It took me maybe two hours last night... it should have been much shorter if I didn't have to remove excessive molding from Royal Models. Lesson learned... am now restrained from buying more stowage resin sets from that manufacturer again even tho it looks good.

Stowage looks awesome, Andy! Great work. That's gonna be a blast to paint and weather. Tons of different textures and finishes possible:) Gumbo looks good too, my only criticism for the chef would be to cut the chicken in smaller sections on the bias. Makes it less stringy in the end;) I bet it was great though:)

Andy
Beautiful job and nice selection of cargo, the wheels set it off nicely. I see your problem in your front yard, no tools with small lady like handles. When I went to the smaller tools and double everything for yard work I got a worker who does about twice as much as I do to make her happy. Actually my wife is rather obsessive about neatness and appearance which makes her one of those people who can not set down and relax if ANYTHING is not in its right place or otherwise less than neat. She is banned from my work bench and after fifty years of my messes she knows where to draw the line even if it gives her the jitters.
Bones.

Nate- LOL! Am afraid it will take me forever to paint the stowage!!! Smaller pieces of chicken? What if I like them big? Thanks buddy for stopping by! Bones- Small tools? How about a wife in not so good mood and a big but dangerous tool? Now you understand why I am always at her service. LOL Mr Sniper- Thanks mate... good to know I have your nod of approval on the stowage too. Leon- LOL! Not too full but maybe half full? I am tempted to add more but no!!! Am afraid there won't be an update any time soon... those classic great war movies are on TV all day on AMC and TMC are keeping me away from the bench... Dirty Dozen, Longest Day and Battle of Bulge. And I am taking boys to see the Iron Man 3 tonight while my body is recovering from days of hard labor... Later friends!
