Guy- Update... I was too tired to post an update last night. Had a great day at the bench... thanks to snow. Like Marc said, I got rid of the fuzziness on the fenders using grill lighter. In the future I will do it before they are attached to the build... sorry about crappy pic. More detail painting, added small stuff as rifles, German helmet, etc. Added PE helmet straps and decals too. Hope you like it... a trophy prize you can say. Thinking about adding a bullet hole to the helmet but the piece is so thick of styrene inside. Typical Tamiya helmet... Thanks for looking!

LOL! I was worried because I sprayed a lot of flat clear lacquer on the DUCK. LOL Learning so much from this build that I would have done things differently like painting and decaling the interior before I glue it to the hull, darkening the fenders first, etc. Thanks Marc my old friend!

I was impressed that I would buy more Italeri kits especially that they are one of our major sponsors. No word from Dragon and Tamiya... that's something we should keep in mind.

AWESOME! Glad you liked... I thought I'd add it because I would have done the same thing to my DUKW if I had one. Thanks Darren!

Pete- Always good hearing from you. Glad you liked them too! At first I was not too sure about the helmet but what the heck! I watched "Kelly's Heroes" too much you can say. Thanks my friend!

Very brave taking an open flame to the DUKW but it definitely 'cleaned up' the fuzzies! Nice touch with the helmet, gives it a slightly 'Kelly's Heroes' feel to it.

LOL! You guys sure know how to make me chuckle... it has been a long day as I got home an hour ago. I needed that...
Leon- Awesome! Then the helmet is there to stay for good.
Carl- Man, that video was freaking hilarious!!! What was he thinking?!?!?
Bruce- Thanks buddy! Hope you get to see it in two weeks...
Dicky- That pic... way too funny!!!! Thanks for cracking me up! Maybe I should add the netting to the helmet next... thanks mate!
John- You are not helping me... I am tempted! I'd love to get that 88 too! And a Shermie but BigJohn probably will outbid me anyway. Why are they selling? Sad to see them go into private collection... hopefully most will remain open to the public. Scud Missile is perfect... it will take us to Florida or somewhere warmer every time it snows here.
Bill- Yep, that's what I was aiming for. You have no idea how nervous I was. I placed the DUKW in right positions so the flame will not hit the duck if possible. There is one little place you can see the aftermath of the burn... we can always saw it had a very close call with a 88 earlier. LOL Thanks!

John, with a Scud in your backyard your definition of 4th july fireworks escalates a little Oh yes! I'm sure I'd get all kinds of visitors from those alphabet soup agencies. You know, BATF, USMS, DHS, NSA, FBI, CIA, FAA, EPA, IDEM and a whole bunch of others I probably don't know about.

Luigi- Promise you John will be waiting with his shotgun on the front porch... that's Hoosier way of welcoming people. LOL
Mr T- HAHAH! You wish! Flying and hauling the kits for two weeks around will give me a nervous breakdown! I am going just to see my ol' MSC friends and enjoy the show. You promised me you will carry my shopping bags, correct? Glad you like the DUKW! No update... worked too much yesterday but I am ready to work on it tonight. Oil washes!

Guys- Slow progress on the duck but its getting there. One more week til the show on the 15th. Finished with all of detail painting especially the stowage, applied dark washes, and gave it a mild chipping job. Weathering is next and I better get started on the beach base...

I love that stowage. I've heard good things about value gear, but seeing those bed rolls painted up so well makes it hard not to order some. For some reason when I saw the red bike in the 2nd & 3rd photo the first thing I thought was "Did those G.I's steal the girls bike?". Cheers #57

Kharkov- No worries! Only a week left... love the pressure! LOL Planning to start the base tonight. Thanks buddy!
Leon- Thank you so much for casting all of those powerful spells on me... it worked!!! LOL Thanks wizard!
Steve- Lovely ladies? I thought they are with you right now!?!?! LOL Thanks mate!
Mr T- Absolutely... think I still have your address. LOLOLOL Thanks my friend!
Pete- Thanks man! Love those stuff from Value Gear... hoping to buy more at the show next weekend!
57#- It makes me chuckle every time I see that number. Way too funny... glad your sense of humor are as great as ours here. You will not regret buying those stuff... inexpensive and easy to use as it requires very minimal cleaning unlike most resin sets. Best part they are little flexible that you can bent them... go for it buddy! Yep. those bad boys stole it from a dead German... the bike was probably stolen earlier when the Germans invaded France. LOL A bike will be very handy for those booze runs!!!
Noname- Glad you liked it too... thanks!
