Splendid work Andy! I love it! I wasn't too confident in finding any progress in this thread again after it had went astray! At least I've learnt a lot about your holiday activities... Cheers, Tobi

Carl- That anchor is sneaky one... here's pic as I added chain. Its not done yet... will apply rust and dirt pigments of course. Wouter- Happy you stopped by... thanks my friend! No time or update today as I have been busy as one of chairpersons for the fundraising event tonight as we are going to raise money for the deaf school. Its a 80's themed murder mystery party and you will like what I am going to be. Pictures to follow tomorrow...

**** DISCLAIMER FOR YOU MSC BOYS AND GIRLS ****That was me at 1980's theme fundraiser event last night... That was my wife's idea... Twisted Sister! It fit me perfectly... me and my twisted mind. My beautiful wife was one of band members as assigned for one of the main murder mystery characters. We managed to raise more than $2,500 last night. Fund is going to an organization that helps protect deaf schools. You would be surprised how many stupid people are out there trying to close deaf schools especially doctors and anti-sign language pro-oralism folks.

Jeff- LOL Thanks buddy! You would have enjoyed the party too. Carl- That's what everybody tells me. Yeah too many people... politicians who are clueless about deaf education and our biggest enemy is those doctors and audiologists who think that cochlear implants are the solution to deafness. Nope, it rarely fixes the problem... glad you enjoyed the pics. Guys- With little energy to spare, finally started the work on the base. Still a long way to go... added very fine pebbles for texture where water will be. Beach bunnies will be on top of little hill. Next I will spray a base coat of tan or sand on the whole base...

Nice start on the base, what are you going to use for the water?

Thanks Luigi! I plan to use the water stuff from Woodland Scenics. It comes in pebbles and I have to heat to make them melt then pour into the base. It will be my first attempt and I don't have much time. LOL I am not sure if I can mix paint to the water mix? Have you tried that method before? If not, somebody here might have done that...

No, never did water, sorry. One of my next builds will have water, I plan to do a Sherman landing on a Normandy beach from a LST. I know that Vallejo's water stuff can be mixed with paint to tint it, but I don't know Woodland Scenics one.

Thanks buddy! Appreciate your quick reply! Googled and found good answers how to use the water product from Woodland Scenics. Looks like it is not a good idea to mix paint with that stuff. They suggested that I paint the bottom to make it look deeper before I pour the water stuff. woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/video/PrepareWaterAreaThis is what I will do tonight... fun fun fun! NOT...

Dicky- LOL! Dee Afpanzer?!? Loved it! I thought about making higher hill but it means bigger base. I am running out of space fast here with my ever growing stash. Will do my best to make it work on this size. I will take a pic where figures will be if it helps. Feedback is important here for me. Thanks again! Pete- My look? No I do it every weekend now and it has been like that since the day I joined MSC. Thank you! LOL Yes working on base right now... spraying sand paint all over. FUN! 57- Oh yeah everybody knows I am your type! LOL Kidding... I returned to hobby shop to exchange E-Z water for Realistic Water after reading plenty of bad reviews earlier today. Realistic Water is easier to use, won't turn yellow and better than older version E-Z. Update coming soon... thanks for stopping by! Boots- LMAO! You never know pussycats love heavy metal singers. Thanks mate! Jeffrey- Call me whatever you want as long as you click on my karma. It will work out... LOL Johnny- No WAY! I can not come dressed like that because I know you will never keep your hands off me. LOL Man, can't wait to have fun at the show with you again!

Kenny- OOPS! You didn't see the warning disclaimer? It was pretty loud and clear! LOLOL Glad it made you chuckle... always good hearing from you! Leon- Thanks man! Me too... base has been painted. I am nervous about the water part which I will do in the morning as soon as paint is dry enough. Guys- Quick update... according to video clips I found when I googled for Woodland Scenics water instructions. They said paint the base based on depth since water will be pretty clear. One tip I saw was to paint gloss clear to seal the paint which I will do with Future tonight. Say prayers for me... LOL
