You can do it Andy! Nice beach you've got going there...just don't forget to drape your pink scarf around the edges when you're done.

Products for fake water... originally I planned to use E-Z Water but after reading bad reviews about it. I went back to shop to get newer version 'Realistic Water'. I haven't used the small bottle yet but will try little tomorrow for waves. First attempt- HATED IT... A FAILURE! Accidentally messed up paint under using toothpick to move the fake water around. I chose wrong paints especially light blue. Water was flat & smooth in the morning... not what I wanted. Its hard to see on the pic... sorry! Second attempt... repainted but this time I used more tan and softer blue tone. You are not going to believe this... Luftwaffe Blue. LOL While fake water was in process of drying I used a toothpick to swirl it repeatedly for an hour or so until I am happy. YEP! ME HAPPY! Learning experience for me... hope you like it too.

Today was very productive day. Had the day off... remodeled my boys' bath then worked on the base and the duck too!!! Applied streaks to the duck... it was still wet when I took the pictures. Planning to add different streaks tomorrow before I use pigments. Also took care of GI's missing pinky finger that has gone M-I-A... decal added to another GI's shoulder too. That's what the base will look like... horny American GIs and Frenchy beach bunnies. Love at first sight... Thanks for looking!

Absolutely love it!
I thought at first maybe the blonde could use a towel, but in the 3rd pic it sort of looks like the standing G.I is offering the one around his buddies neck.
Water is coming along really fantastic too.
Cheers

Leon- Your wizard magic did help me the second time... thank you very much! Mr T- YIKES! I better organize the bottles right away. LOL Yeah you are correct too busy as we just finished remodeling the boys bath half hour ago. It means I can work on the duck sooner today. Glad you liked the base... thanks T! Luigi- Thanks man! Yes thats part of plan today I will use that little bottle... it is supposed to create foams and white stuff on water. Hope it comes out good too. 57- Hey buddy! LOL I am positive that the GI will loan her the towel. I have towel as one of accessories that came with the figures I will glue them to the base as soon as it is done weathered. Can't wait! Glad you liked it too! Robbo- Actually it was my second attempt. First was ugly fortunately I was able to paint over it and try again. I was worried if I had to make new base again... thanks mate!

Completely blown away Andy ! This Dukw project took a lot of time but man it looks great ! The streakings add so much interest to it. The aftermarket bumpers were finished tremendously ! Interaction looks legendary !
Best regards !

Hey Guy!!! Happy you liked it too! Figured dirt was trapped inside those holes on the hull so dirt would be coming out. Seen many pictures they had a lot of streaks. I might add more and some rust to the steel parts. Can't wait to apply pigments tonight if the wife lets me...
It was worth spending $30 on those bumpers and I will not hesitate to do it again. Already thinking about getting second DUKW kit and it will be US Marines in Pacific hauling a howitzer. LOL
Thanks my friend!

Pete- Thanks man!!! Like you I like to include figures in all builds. Thanks again!
Dario- LOL That's OK I like duck better than DUKW. Appreciate your nice words... thanks!
Jeff- LMAO! Loved the dancing ducks! Thanks for making me smile! I needed it after dealing with grout on the new tiles today.
Applied pigments to the duck and base during my break...

Guys- I think my duck is done... can't think of anything else except to attach the figures & bike to it then set it on the base next which will be little challenging since ground is not even. Applied two different pigments... beach sand & gulf war sand. Added fake water inside the old tires.

This is looking killer. It just doesn't much resemble the bright yellow one I rode with my grandparents in Branson Missouri years ago. I like this version much better.

LOLOLOL! I regret not riding it when I was in Branson about 7-8 years ago. Hope they re still doing it so I have an excuse to return.
Thanks for the nice words by the way! Going to bed before Carl tells me to...
