Bones- Gosh! You have been a HUGE help!!! I saw your post earlier... you are 75 years old? Heck I hope I still can model while I am 75 years old! Thank you so much!
Leon- Thanks wizard!!! Update coming up soon... finally worked on it last night.
Steve- LMAO!!!! Don't dare to tempt me. Man, I forgot to mention this in other thread that RM Model replied to my complaint... they were very helpful. I better start a thread somewhere here with great instructions as they finally created one for the miniguns. Thanks for stopping by... always good hearing from you.

Mister Deaf: great stuff you are showing again bud, nice attention to detail! Cheers Wouter- Thanks!!! Still it doesn't look any nicer than your car with its new set of wheels... LOL Guys- Here's an update as promised... managed to work on the duck with FIVE boys spending the night at my place in the basement where the bench is. First of all I want to point out about out friend John (ogrejohn) twisting my arm to buy those sets from Archer. At first I thought I didn't need it but later on... oh yeah I need it. Tools with PE straps added... Meet my new best friend... Dicky's fault. Perfect stuff to fill in the gaps around the top hull... Result... Sure beats using putty and sanding... sanding... sanding! Thanks for looking!

I use .010 Slaters and Evergreen and find it really cleans up a lot of gaps. Slaters also fakes a good weld seam.

Nice PE work and gap filling Andy. I use similar stuff vs. putty when the gaps are that large...just so much easier to work with. Plus you don't run the risk of losing detail in the process!

"Bones- Gosh! You have been a HUGE help!!! I saw your post earlier... you are 75 years old? Heck I hope I still can model while I am 75 years old! Thank you so much!"
Today I'm not to sure if I would call what I was doing as modeling, I think trying with limited success. My Rolls-Royce has shown me a weakness in building open detailed vehicles with very limited skill and shaky hands so I just set it aside and started doing the Malta Paint on The Vickers and had my muscles give a little jerk and dropped my brush, loaded with green paint right on the stone paint of the vehicle making a nice blob to clean up. Add to that a brush too wide for the job due to the base coat absorbing the green paint, I should have coated the base paint with a coat of "Dull Coat" to seal it before I started the green. Another lesson learned this will end up being just another example of what the vehicle may have looked like or what the next one could look like if done correctly.
Pictures will follow when I get the Roll-Royce caught up.

Bones- Based on what I have seen your builds you still got it! Looking forward to your update on the R-R! Really appreciate you tagging along...
Bill-Often when I use putty I over sand loosing details like you mentioned. LOL Thanks Tex!
Nate- Thanks buddy! Yes Archer threw in that third set for free... looks and feels like thick decals. Pretty nice especially the wood grain and nuts. I am not sure about there... I will open to look inside for you.
Garage- Thanks brotha! Can't wait to finish the building part... only need to finish the rear. Other stuff have been cut, sanded and ready to be use such as mirrors and front hood/flap which I am holding for last. Working tomorrow at huge carnival style event at deaf school but off Monday so hopefully I will return to my bench soon!

I use them too, to fill large holes. And you chose an Italeri kit, which means seams. BTW, great job, it's getting better and better

Andy
I missed this first time around.
"Bones-Thanks for the head up! I tend to hold the pieces tight while accelerator is being applied. Baking soda is news to me... now I have to worry about my wife nagging me for leaving white powdered drugs on the bench."
Is you wife onto something you haven't shared with the rest of us?

I might still have it but I have spent years trying to get rid of it and develop some talent.

Luigi- Thanks buddy! Am hoping to finish it by June 15th... if not then it will be put on hold for nearly a month... summer road trips! Leon- I wish I did this on my previous builds... banging my head now. Thanks for stopping by! I might need your wizardry spells to help me finish it... Joe- Gonna use those stripes much more from now on... sure beats sanding repeatedly. Just like your bomber... thanks for stopping by! AG- LOL! You want to marry it? I don't think I am allowed to marry my own kids... there are laws for this. Dicky- Welcome back! Did my best to keep it going... stalled for last two weeks due to work but I am back at it now. No kidding about Bones as he has been a huge help... he is sending me more porn stuff in mail... third time... I am not kidding! He is already a great member for our forum... OK, I don't have many tools. Are there more good tools that I should get for scratch building? Well, my wife never said anything about not buying more tools... LOL Bones- My wife on something? I plead the Fifth Amendment... Rob- Done?!?!? Very soon... give me few more days it will be done I promise! LOLOLOL This kit has been great... easy to work on... parts are tough to break! Thanks boss!

Luigi- Then we will help each other to finish our builds or we will loose our moderator title. Guys- Worked on the duck for more than 4 hours last night but I forgot to take pictures. Building is almost complete finally... only need to figure out how to attach the resin wheels. Will post pictures tonight...

Same here... wish I have the speed. Too often I take breaks to check my computer, go over reference books, and play those little card games on my iPhone! LOL Guys- Here's an update... building part is really ALMOST done. Only needs to attach the rear lights and resin wheels. Then two parts hull will be attached permanently. Can't wait to add stowage... thanks for looking!

Luigi & Leon- Thanks my friends! The weekend will be another busy one as I am working tonight and tomorrow hosting a fundraiser event to raise money to send four deaf kids to a deaf camp in Oregon. Sunday is the Mother's Day so bench time is not looking too good but weather people are telling us it will be a lot of rain over the weekend so there's a hope...

Pray for rain so you get more bench time, that's appropriate for a "duck" project! Coming along nicely Andy.
