Nice work bro. And I love that idea of the styrene in the two barrel halves. I'm not a fan of plastic barrels consisting out of two halves, but this technique seems to make life indeed a bit easier Cheers

Well Gary, at least the paint issue came to light before you had gotten any further along on the build. It's a pretty simple fix at the current stage.

Thanks a bunch my friends! I reinforce the 2 piece barrels so i can get rough with them. I put them in my cordless drill and use it like a lathe to work the barrel seams and keep it round as well. Gary

Great tip about adding styrene inside the barrel. Will remember that if I ever use the kit barrel. Looking real good brother!

Gary is shamelessly working his magic on yet another helpless kit, which will turn into a museum piece before our very eyes.
Question to the masses: I somehow have aquired an aversion to 1/48th scale armor. I have built one 1/72 scale Panzer, and have a few 1/87 scale pieces laying around but have never done 1/48.I've been wondering what kit should I buy and actually build to help overcome this?

Hello gentlemen, Much obliged for the nice words my friends. G. - I really enjoy the 1/48 scale and while this is only my 3rd it wont be my last. I also enjoy the 1/72nd scale. Tamiya has a nice range 1/48 kits and Hobby boss as well. I would think, just see what they offer and make a selection based on your favorite subjects and the rest should take care of itself i should think. I did one and thats all it took, i wanted MORE!!! Cheers fellas, Gary

It would appear that I have inadvertently missed this build....it may be simply that at 1/4 scale it was simply too small for my tired old peepers to register it or I could be an out and out rude b*stard or....oh whatever1 Tis another luvverly jubberly Boggstrosity and has all the trademark indications of being a superb GB build....oh, apart from being the wrong colour obviously! Keep it up bud Hey Brother Nemo, your never late mate....your just right one time! "Boggstrosity"....I LIKE IT!!! Gary

Great little build going on here Gary, bet yer pleased you noticed the colour mix up before you got too far eh? You'd just have to have told your customer the weathering colour shifted it

Unfortunately Gary PE does get smaller when you move down the scale spectrum...no way around it!

Hello Gentlemen, Steve, thanks buddy! OH MAN, I woulda been pissed if i had to change a 3rd time, but like you said, at least i werent to far along. WHEEEW!!! Bill, theres a bunch of that wee tiny PE that wont get used. Alot of the PE just isnt a good replacement for the kit part since its so small. At least thats what i keep tellin myself. Got the tracks attached and the top hull glued in place as well as the storage bin. I primed to double check and clean the work around the tiny hinges. They turned out ok. Thanks for looking! Gary
