I'm wondering what music youlisten to while you are building. Personally, I tend to listen to music from the nation of what I am building. When I am building a German vehicle, I listen to Beethoven or Wagner. Now I a listening to many Russian composers because of tghe Katusha build. I am just wondering.

Nice question Bruce!! I too like to listen to the "classics" ...Very relaxing, well mostly!! Bach tends to get me a bit rowdy though...LOL!! If not classical, A LOT of blues with some Rock and Heavy Rock!! Keeps me focused on making wrecks!!!

Well, one time when I was living in Miami picking up my girlfriend (wife to be) at the airport, as soon as she got in and I started my car, she laughed so hard. Music was loud blaring Spanish music. What the heck! I just loved its heavy beats. Now can you imagine if somebody finds me driving with some ballet music on one of those days?

I have several different online streaming radio stations that I listen too in my office/workbench area. Sometimes it's Celtic music, sometimes its piano, sometimes its new age, but always some kind of instrumental music. Helps with concentration without it being too quiet.

I am more likely to put in a DVD of or about WWII or a movie... that does not have commercials in it. Commercials are too distracting. But then as far as music? I like the classic rock/bands from the 60's and almost into the 90's. Favorite bands are Roadmaster, Boston, Steppenwolf, Van Halen, KISS, Shooting Star and let's throw April Wine in there. There are many more! Remember any of those? Jeff

I'm with you on sabbath, as much as i like Ozzy, nobody beats Ronnie as the god voice of rock! Do you remember the English death metal band Sabbat? My brother introduced me to them in the late 80's, they were a kind of pioneering band at the time with regards death metal, had a couple of albums then vanished off the face of the earth! In saying that, i'm 42 now so that kinda thing would probably drive me mad and sound like a wasp trapped in a bottle lol!

I listen to about anything but polka music! Have a love affair for Russian classical music, and one of my favorites in the one Stalin commissioned to honor the Battle of Leningrad. I have copies of the one done by the London Symphony Orch. and also the one done by the Leningrad Symphony. Orch. Both are good, and also have them on vinyl. The Russian one is very rare, and have only played it a couple times. Otherwise I'll probably be listening to acoustic jazz. Lots of Miles Davis stuff there. I also have a deep love affair for west Texas music and good rock & roll. I have a fairly extensive vinyl collection as many here already know. I can only estimate the volume of the stash, but it's around 6,000 LP's and growing! My CD collection is about 1200 right now, and I doubt it will ever see the 2,000 mark. Vinyl is just that much better. What I'm playing is just dictated by the mood I'm in that day. But zero chance of a polka being played! gary

Music?!?!? God, that's a very difficult question to answer... I completely understand your issue here. My hearing leaves a lot to be desired as well due to a major case of tinnitus (thanks to Uncle Sam). On the other hand I have a friend that is blind. She has very good hearing. (good at other things too)She is able to pick out things in a recording that I often miss, but find it next time I play it! I'm very certain you've learned to adjust your life around this, and I applaud you for this alone! gary
