Woooo...been a while since I updated this thread. Wrapped up the Testors F-19 over the summer (painted up in Euro I as described in Red Storm Rising). Got a whole pile of stuff in the "almost completed" pile - need a September finish!

Nice job on the F-19! I remember when that first came out with all the speculation on the 'Stealth' fighter...boy how off were they!

I know it Bill! I actually have a whole collection of kits that "jumped the gun", as it were, on trying to get something out before there was any sort of accurate detail. Wait until I get to the Monogram F-19...or Revell 1/72 B-2!

Hey buddy. Love that F-19. I swear I never have heard or seen it before. That tells you how much I know about wings. LOL

Very minor update (at least modeling-wise!). Got a couple in the pipeline to add to the 2013 tally shortly. Sweet jesus, only one more month to go! Going to have to hope that I have a better 2014 for number of completions.

No doubt, Bill. Added the first of hopefully several December wrap-ups - this time a 1/72 Hasegawa X-29. Got several more builds that are awfully close to the finish line...will either squeeze them in to make 2013 look a bit better (nine +one baby so far? yikes) or pad the 2014 stats with a bunch of first-week-of-January completions.

Number 11 is up! And only two days after number 10! This one wasn't anywhere near the build queue until I was sorting through my decals one day and came across the "MXD" markings on this Spitfire...just happens to be the initials of build number nine. Couldn't pass it up, and banged it out.

Ho hoooooo! Less than 24 hours later, build #12 goes up - a Monogram Mirage 2000. This build had potential...a nifty airshow scheme that Monogram did exactly one specific boxing of. The limited nature of it meant hard to locate decals - so when mine completely freaked out when I used Micro Set (which has never happened before with their decals?) I had to suck it up and take it as it was, because I would have had a nigh impossible time trying to track another one down. Tried everything to get them to uncurl, just wouldn't happen. So I finished up the rest of the assembly, did some rudimentary weathering, and on the shelf it goes. This cleaning up shelf queens and mostly-finished builds thing is kind of fun...

Great collection, love the Frisbee for it's oddity I did not know anyone was molding one of these. What kind of paint did you use on #9?

The Frisbee - Testors kit from the mid-80's (supposedly the "best selling kit of all time"?). They can still be had in the ~$20 range. Great kit...fits well, not a ton of parts, and the sky is the limit as far as paint schemes!
