Nice round of updates there T! As for why we detail things that wont' be seen? I chalk it up to one of three reasons: 1) we think it will be seen only to discover afterwards that it won't be, 2) it's just too dang cool not to work on the details provided, I mean they did go to the trouble to include them right? or 3) the compulsion is just too strong to resist otherwise!

Back at this tomorrow....for what is left until painting. Muggy junk is back so I will have to wait anyway! I have a few things to work on until then!!

t she is coming right along. once you get it nailed down as to the reason we do what we do with these kits then you could write a book on how to do so in moderation. it is a book i would buy.

Stunning job, Todd. I think the orange/reddish underside of the turret will be quite visible from the outside, especially if the turret doors will let the light in.
I dunno how but you make painting seem so easy...

Thanks Joe!! I will be sure to let you know when I find the reasons for all this!! LOL!! Book? LOL...maybe someday! "The basics on how to open way too many kits at once"!! Thanks Luigi!! Still need to lay down a wash in there, more or less for fun than anything else. Some light does get in there so it won't be a total waste of time. It would be easier to paint if I had the weather on my side. Right near the Century mark today, with the muggy junk to boot!! So it's building time then...well only if I must!! LOL!!!

Hey fellas!! A quick update here. I am on vacation at the moment and while the wife and kids are at the beach I am lagging behind to pick up some extra Doe Ray Me with my father...LOL..working on my vacation, Nice!! Anyway, I am breaking some rules here. It has been muggy and no sign of getting better....sooooo, no one here but the dog...move the painting operation up weather the A/C is and it is dry!! Trust me...much worse than this!! LOL!! ANDY...getting anxious yet? Yup.. The Booth!! Usually I am at my desk in the cave and the booth rarely comes into play but desperate time call for desperate measures!! Dog isn't too happy with me when the blowere goes on but she will get over it....hopefully! Managed to lay down some shading. I need to finish a couple "tie in parts" that remained off until the upper and lower sections were conjoined. Once they are on (tomorrow), I will be laying down some base and hitting the range for some camo. As always, thanks for dropping by!!

Look at this! More Russian stuff?! With an interior to boot! I LIKE IT!!! BTW I think you need to call a maid for that spray area! Or if you like I come by and liberate you from mind boggling mess of what paint to chose!

Luigi - Funny how that works with us modelers...either messy bench or the "Andy" bench...no happy medium. Gary - Thanks Brotha! LOL...Yeah, I dig the stuff! Too user friendly and it works too good! Dupes & G - On it!! (below) Pete - Thanks! Yeah, more Russian stuff. Just a trend I guess. You're welcome to come up and help me anytime my friend!! Mence - Thanks, most appreciated!! G - Appreciate the kindness! Bill - Thanks! The booth worked like a dream in the kitchen/dining room!! No mess, no smell...wife looked at me funny when I told her, but all is good!! This update comes from the comfort of Cape Cod. I have joined my wife and kids on holiday...finally! Should be a hot 4th of July..90+ though the weekend....well some parts of MA anyway. I did manage to squeeze in a little painting this morning before packing for the trip. I used a combination of items between AK's Dunkelgelb CM set and the Afghanistan color set, not to mention the pre-shading which was from the 4BO set. Finished of the base with a light misting of the Iraqi Tan thinned out pretty much 50/50 I brought the road wheels with me on vacation. There is always some down time no and then. Figured I could paint the rubber on them....only to dusty them up again!! When I get back, masking for a little camo might be in order!! As always, thanks for tuning in!!
