Hello guys, currently I can't move on with the Ford FAT diorama (waiting for paper leaves I've ordered...)so it's a good time to start building the barn section for the Admiral diorama. I started with the concrete floor section and this was one of my reference pics : One hour later I had this, besides a plaster, sandy, dusty work bench, a detail shot : No paint involved yet. Tomorrow I'll be glad to tell you how I did this. Time to go to bed now ! Best regards ! AG.

Dicky, LOL, I wish it was that easy mate. I don't make cracked concrete floors often you know... Andy, I count you in, I even command you to count yourself in, what would I be without your comments my friend ? Luigi, let's hope I won't dissapoint you then fella ! Today I airsprayed three grey tones over the floor section (not attached to the wooden base yet), and ended with a mist of Clear coat. I then brushed on a wash and dabbed with cloth to create spots and different tones. This will be the composition of the Opel and the Zündapp : I try to go for a small, romantic atmosphere. Best regards ! AG.

I still have to figure that out Luigi, I won't use the wooden cart and wheelbarrow.

I still have to figure that out Luigi, I won't use the wooden cart and wheelbarrow. They both were stunners, I hope to see them in another dio.

I wouldn't use the bike here. nothing should detract from the fantastic job on the car.
the bike will make a diorama on its own sometime
imo

That is the stuff there G!! Fantastic concrete work!! The pair looks sweet too!! I am leaning towards Bill's comment a little as each could make up their own little setting just fine, but Certainly on board with your thoughts here!!!

Hi guys, to start with : thanks for your supportive replies ! They're very encouraging you know... I'd like to show you how I've tried to create wooden beams and planks out of plastic card/sheet styrene, I hope you like the method and try it too, it's not that difficult. ...and now the trick ! Let's build the barn section this week ! Best regards ! Guy.

Luigi, sharing stuff and techniques is the whole point mate ! Leon, I've got some barn raisin' for you coming up right now ! Dicky, you weren't dreaming my good man, but I still am looking for an ideal composition for the Admiral, a look inside the interior would be great coz' I put a lot of weathering effort in it. Bill, you know you're most welcome ! Ski, thanks for jumping in, I'm building up the barn as realistic as possible and I'm looking forward to see how this will end up. Andy, LOL yeah I know it's been a long time since I started this project. Now I'm most motivated to keep going until it's entirely finished ! Bruce, here's one pic to watch now... This is just the frame I'm building right now, the planks are already painted in their base color and I want to keep pushing until the wood part is done. Best regards ! AG.
