Absolutely stunning!
I had to laugh though when you posted the crew. I took a look and thought "Oh goodness he's got the crew doing physical training".

Looks ready to load! I think the amount and size of the decals would have pushed me right over the edge....

Well finally started on the figures, it's not my fault just been enjoying the rather splendid weather here as well as running around like a blue arsed fly doing loads of other tasks as well as having to work! Anyway I went down the decal route and sourced some meister chronicle decals from Jason at LSA models. Instead of covering say an arm or leg using one piece of decal I have used a couple of pieces per leg and this has worked very well. The decal is quite thick so stands a lot of poking and fiddling too. Setting solution wise I'm using mr mark setter and softener which really gets the decals down into the details. So far the results look good but in my opinion not as easy as painting the camo BUT the camo is accurate something which is extremely difficult to replicate free hand. What do you guys think?

Decals look good from here Pete, I suppose like any method it's going to have its plus and minus qualities, but the result is neat!

Hi Pete,
those decals look great, must have been a pain to apply them. Only the black is looking rather stark for my taste, considering its clothing and especially after some rounds of laundring. Any chance to tone this down?
Just my 2 cents...

Nice work on the figures! The way you have them lined up in the first shot reminds me of the 'four monkeys' a bit.

Great work Pete - as I said before I have several sheets of this chapdec stuff but haven't tried it yet.....do you apply in small strips or what? Your results looks superb and for the modern schemes this is the obvious aand best way to recreate them, any info would be appreciated Your Type 90 is one of the best examples I have seen and with these fellas in attendance yer should do well at the show....keep at it fella Cheers guys, Dicky I did apply the decal in small strips especially on the arms and legs. For the backs and fronts I cut out a rough shape then trimmed before fitting. It is quite a lot of faffing about when the figures are assembled so next time I am going to add the decals to the arms, torso etc before assembly. I've seen this done before and it does make it much easier. I wish I had taken some in progress shots but I really needed to get them finished. Currently working on the detail painting so should have some more pics later today.
