Dupes, I had almost the same issues with their 4BO set. Some shades behave differently from the others. The inconsistency is a real issue when spraying, so that spraying a rather small tractor became a nightmare. Next time I'll try to dilute with Tamiya laquer thinner, to see how they behave. But you defo overcame all those issues, the result looks really nice

Glad to hear that it isn't just me having inconsistency issues. I was starting to go a little crazy getting it to work!
Let me know how the lacquer thinner works out for you.

Thanks Gary! Should have some further updates soon...finished up an X-29 last night and have a Spitfire that only needs a couple of things done, then it's full steam ahead here.

That paint job looks great to me Dupes Like Nemo mentioned earlier you can have a great pain free session with the airbrush and then next session it flys out the window. I'm definitely in the inconsistency group when it comes to airbrushing but its getting better. I always test on an old model before going anywhere near the actual these days cos of so many FU's in the past ! This has helped iron out any recurring issues and makes the whole process more enjoyable Los

Still plugging away on this guy - oil dots are done. I like how they look, an awful lot of real estate on those big rectangular panels! Up next is chipping, then adding all of the loose bits.

Two layers of chipping, and all of the tools later: Pin wash time! That, and I should probably start thinking about the tracks...

Bill - she's got shoes. And a bunch of other stuff, too! May be ready for final inspection by Sunday evening unless I've completely forgotten something, or the 12-18 inches of snow falling tonight causes my roof to collapse. Heh.

For sure a nice build Dupes.
Perhaps you can weather the back of this one a bit more. Adding some oil stains and dust to the engine deck & rear will do good to the overall look & feel. Perhaps you can add a dustwash to the sparewheels as well to at some extra contrast. And to be honest, I don't like the foliage in front. It's a bit off.
Still a nice build for such an old kit!
Marcel.

DUPES!!! How'd I miss the progress on this?? She looks great.
I do agree with Marcel. The foliage looks out of place. Either add a lot more or do away with it. It just seems... off.
You really did this one well. It has that distinct look I've come to expect from your builds. I can't put my finger on it, but your work has a 'signature' to it that I recognize and really like.

Log in more, my friend! That's the beauty of smart phones - bathroom forum time. Yeah, I see what you mean about there being more foliage if it's going to be there. Two for two against, and I was unsure about it to start...gonna take it off. I know what you mean about work "signature" - I wonder what makes mine look like mine?

Marcel - I even have the AK "fuel stains" set, and meant to use it. Good catch.
Going to make a few adjustments to the final product.

Log in more, my friend! That's the beauty of smart phones - bathroom forum time. I have been here a lot lately. I've just missed it! Yeah, I don't know what your 'style' is, or how to describe it, BUT I can pick you builds out of a crowd. There is something distinct about to them that I recognize. Very cool...

So is that a good thing, or a bad thing? "Yeah, I recognize that build, it's Dupes"

Looking good dupes! I agree with the others about the 'foliage'...it's out of scale and just seems to be 'there' but with no real design/purpose for its placement and type. Something else that caught my attention, your hull MG seems to be only be extending about half of the way out it should be...not sure if that's something you can fix at this stage or not!
