Hi Chris,

no luck yet buddy but its down to me using this infernal sony tablet. basically I can't access the pictures properties directly because there is no mouse or clicker to get to that. Also the image codes I am being given are not translating properly to this tablet. By tablet I mean its like an iPad, just using the Android operating system and not Apples system. This forum uses a good system for images, its the way all forums should be, I just need to work out how im going to get that code over using this. I will be fine once I get the mac back but id like to try to sort it before then because I am bored waiting

TRM, the image I am trying to load is not really anything special, I just need to get to grips with how photoshop galleries handles their img codes. I think when I used it a few months ago on my mac they had the codes with the images and just like photobucket you copied the code from the box. But this android device has a bad habit of not displaying everything on the screen like it should. So I am trying to get the url from the image itself but its not even letting me do that and I think that is down to the photoshop gallery software being awkward as well as the tablet not having the usual option to right click an image. The url is somehow coded differently in this browser without the usual http etc so I am just trying to figure out the parts of that code that I will need to give me the actual address of the image.

If you could go here TRM, or anyone else that can do this

And see if you can grab a url from any image in there and see if it actually works on this forum that would be great. At least then that would let me know whether you managed to get a normal url from the image that works here and we can go from there.

I will set you up with a thread if you like. I have a couple of pictures downloaded into my Photobucket. I am thinking that the site, photoshop.com is not supported here unfortunately. I even signed up there and checked for the correct http to download. I found nothing. Flickr and or Photobucket work just fine. You can just open an account for free and transfer stuff over. I even needed to change when the new site got started. Let me know if you have any issue...we will work our way through it!! Let me know if you want me to post what I have...just open up a gallery thread, like "Boo's past works" or something...I will throw them up for now!!

TRM, thank you very much for having a go at that for me and for the posting etc, I appreciate your assistance. Ive just been reading up on this and it appears that tablets and phones are a bit restricted by photoshops software. Apparently there's a way to do it but its going to be too long winded to get the code on a regular basis. However when I get the mac back, or even tomorrow as I plan to borrow a pc for the day I may be able to get it working. The only reason I will be able to get it working though is because only the uploader or account holder has access to the actual codes needed and they will appear whilst I am uploading and editing the pictures. Talk about daft though. They have this system where the url is encoded so people cannot hot link to the images unless you own them or obviously take the pics elsewhere.

I suppose its to save on their bandwidth but its a bit awkward for the users. Ill let you know tomorrow how it goes if I get that pc to lend.

I contacted the apple service centre today and the lady said 10 days at the most. So until then I have to keep myself occupied and the best way to do that is either model or buy models. So I done a bit of both

Just to confirm and to satisfy my curiosity I've uploaded this picture taken today onto my opera album.

Some of you may have seen him before, he's one of the dudes from my Zugkraftwagen diorama which was dismantled today for experimentation purposes. Anyway, just a test for the picture hosting issue. I actually took this pic today with my sony tablet and it turned out ok so I may be able to get that thread started tomorrow if I get the time to grab some new pictures.
