Sweet progress Man.Why are you so nervous about the springs  they really shouldn't be to tuff. Post a couple of pics and maybe we can come up with some ideas.

I have started the turret today, nothing worth posting yet, but soon.

Luigi, Its gonna be all German Grey, but i got the Grey AK Modulation paint set, AK Wash for German Grey and AK Filter for German Grey. I played around with the AK paint on my test tank (an old Tamiya M3 Lee) and i liked it ALOT! Gonna be fun to paint with something other than Tamiya. I still loves my Tamiya though.

Gary, I think I remember you mentioning something about you making your own set of springs for the rear fenders, is this correct? If I remember correctly the front fenders also need a set too.

In the past I’ve used a single strand of wire from insulated 19 strand 22 ga. wire. Insulated 7 strand 22 ga. wire is easier to find but each of the strands is larger in diameter. Having the insulated wire you simply strip off the insulation reveling the wire strands and remove one of these for making the springs. Grab a small diameter needle or metal wire and chuck both the wire and strand into a small pin vise and wrap the strand around the metal wire. You can make one long piece and separate it to create the four individual pieces that you need with your sprue cutters. With a set of small needle nose pliers you can bend the last loop at each end 90° out. You can stretch the wire loops a little for added realism. Hope this helps? And I hope I didn’t misunderstand what you meant by the springs?

Eddy - Thanks for the detailed info buddy. I did the springs last night late so i could prime first thing this morning. Im not 100 satisfied but their far better that the kit ones.

Got the Tank Primed. Had forgot to replace the lid latches on the turret stowage bin, so i added some styrene. The tracks wheels and loose parts will be addressed after i paint the tank. Other that that the Pz. is ready for color. Ill be useing AK for the first time on a project and the first time using this technique instead of my usual preshade, base and highlight. Ive practiced on my test tank and really liked what i saw. Anyhoo, i also have the AK Wash and Filter for Pz. Grey.
