Now that the weather has been on my side and it's not as humid, I decided to get some primer and base green paint on this one. I went with the trusty Tamiya paints mixed to a color I liked and some light CM applied. Filters and washes will alter the color a bit later on. This will be it for this one until the KV II is done and ready for primer.

Hmmmm, after looking through the Tankart 2 book, I'm starting to get an itch to build one of these so I can paint it. Will need to look over on ebay.

Thank you all for the kind words and glad your liking the paint color. I actually wasn't too happy with it as it's a bit darker than in the pics, and I am used to always starting with a lighter shade. I gave the model a very thin misting of a brighter more greener color and the filters will help change the color more. Didn't have much time yesterday since painting Thor was a very long painting session.
BJ, you may be able to find the Trumpy KV kits dirt cheap bro.

I have often seen the Trumpy KV's on e-bay for $15 and some times less.
I have not heard anything on the tires yet have you gotten any word??

LOL, Sorry G, missed your comment. Yeah busy but these kits just fall together. Hardest thing is trying to make them all a bit different. Gonna have #356 done very soon and ready for painting. then it's all weathering from there.

Hey Leon, missed your comment, sorry. The weather still sucks..lol. The ab work is very slow going, sometimes only 5 mins then a break for an hour. Also small amounts of paint and cleaning the ab in between. Hoping to get a filter on this and the other at some point.

Have been watching you struggle with suitable times to paint which seem to be plagued by humidity. I live on the Northwest Coast of the USA and the humidity here can get to 70% on any day but I have never had it do anything to my paint which are for the most part Acrylics. What is happening if you paint in high humidity?

Bones, My moisture trap can't keep up and the AB spatters water with the paint. I don't have ac in the entire house so the humidity gets pretty high in my small hobby room. doh, forgot to pm you. PM coming your way.

That is interesting, I just use a little cheapy water filter and have no air conditioning of any kind, in fact my window are open most of the time though the summer. I assume you have bled the water from your air tank routinely. I know people who paint vehicles and have two air traps hooked in series to keep their air dry for production work. There is a difference in trap quality also. I have an extra one that hooks directly to the bottom of your brush if you have an Iwata type brush where the air hose connection sets back from the front of the brush and you can have it if you like. Another solution is to go to bottled air which is better than using an air compressor for silent use and dry air, I wish I had gone that way when I started.
