Got the filter applied this weekend. I see a few splotchy spots that I’ll go back and soften up a bit. Let this dry a bit then I’ll start on the streaking effects. John I feel bad for missing your build ............... But now that I'm here I'm glad to say that the Sherm is looking great . And those pics are so clear . Are you still using that camera in your phone ?

I have 5 lamps set up to illuminate the model. Also it likes colored backgrounds. I don't have to much luck with it on a white background. Plus I use photo shop to make a few adjustments and sharpen the image.

John, this is so good it makes me want to jump with joy. I love the M4A1, its curvyness is so darn beautiful. And all the job you're doing on it makes me wish I had another one to start building

An iPhone John!!?? Mate I never knew that, looks fantastic. When I take pics with mine on a bright background (I must confess white) I get black lines running up and down the screen?

Yeah John, that's why I use the blue background. My phone doesn't like a white background either. It also likes plenty of light.
The pictures for my article in SMA magazine were taken with my iPhone, LOL
My advice is to just keep playing around with backgronds and lighting until you find something you like, I'm planning on trying some light blue and gray backgrounds soon.

I’ve made a start on the streaking. I can see some streaks that are a little over powering in the pics. I have already went back and softened them up. Once I get a few more colors on, it will start to tie all together.
