Nice stuff and you seem to manage well. I tried braille scale once and I gave up.
Now looking forward to see your magic happen with this little bugger ^^
Cheers

Bill Thanks mate much appreciated Wouter i thought the same at the start buddy but the kit was a good base and with a few added pieces makes it up to a great model there are a few inaccurate parts so when i make my next T 72 AV there will be a lot more scratching Dan B

Evening all last night i got some primer applied to the 72 this was left over night to cure then had to wait until this evening to get the base colour done as the temperature was a little high in the cave today im trying a new thinners with Tamiya acyrlics on this build as i have been finding with alcohol that im getting a dusty finish so i ordered some Mr Hobby Leveling thinners and tried this on some test pieces what a difference it goes on so flat but stinks to high heaven so i mixed a 50/50 ratio paint to thinners with a few drops of clear added for a satin finish. Next up will a pin wash and filter to darken the green a little then a sand camo will be sprayed Dan B

Hey chaps another quick update on the paint so far i gave the green a wash of AK dark slimy grime then moved onto the camo for this i used deck tan white and flat flesh once this dried i moved onto the 1st stage of dust in a few of my ref photos im following the dust was almost white in colour like chalk dust so to try and replicated this i used Humbrol enamels palestone mixed with white this was highly diluted and sprayed in random areas then before it dries i used a brush dampened with thinners and rubbed away certain high traffic areas im not totally happy with this how it is now but im hoping with the pin washes it should bring out some details what do you guys think? :? I love the camo Dan!! Makes her look all together now!! Maybe a pigment app into the corners, let dry and blend with the dusting you have? Thin slurry with water should do the trick!!

Some good advice offered regarding the dust Dan, the camo pattern is sharp! Have to keep reminding myself of the scale on this one when I look at the pics.

Thanks for all your comments Ogrejohn im hoping too that the pin wash will change the look Dicky its not the usual way of when i would add the dust just trying new things as on the ref photos im using the green and camo look really flat so i dii not feel the the camo needed a filter i will do the pin wash then decided if it needs to go in the bin LOL only joking TRM: Once the pin wash is on i will do a pigment wash then see what it looks like cheers buddy Leon: Thanks buddy for looking in your comments are appreciated Bill: Cheers Bill i have to keep reminding myself that its braille scale i keep loosing it :0 lol its so ferkin small Dan B

It's looking good Dan! Can see some of the subtlety in the pics, particularly that last one and of course the pin wash really brings out the details as you would expect. Keep it coming!
