Trying to keep the kids from killing one another while my wife makes dinner, regretting not painting today in what will probably be the last decent outdoor painting day until Spring unless we have a freakishly warm winter.

James...YOU coulda made dinner,and given the wife the hard job!!!! Indeed I could have, but I made dinner earlier this week, and we can't be developing a pattern! I tend to cook the nights she works, but she's been off yesterday and tonight, so it's actual made from scratch things instead of "Dad Makes Things Out of Boxes and Bags" night  |

I hear ya there James!!!....Our kids have flown the coop,so there's just me and the better half! I usually get home after her,so I get to cook weekends.Try to do something 'special' on the Saturday night,and then the roast on a Sunday,after I've popped up to the Pub! |

Just visited Nemo's and Andy's thread. Im still tryin to shake off the images of the yellow smiley faces, but i cant help but want to go back for another look!  What ever shall i do? Oh, and im drinkin coffee. |

Normally it's a peaceful place, but near toddler fisticuffs erupted when a fight over who's was allowed to touch a chair suddenly blew up and they both took a couple of scrapes in the ensuing flailing of arms (for balance). But all of the kids are at Grandma's for the weekend now, and my wife works night shift tonight and tomorrow. I *SHOULD* go lose myself in my workbench until Sunday afternoon as it's rare to have this much peace and quiet at once.

Good for you. Keep at it. When I quit the butts and before the cigars someone gave me some good advise to keep in mind to help you deal with that feeling. I was told, "Know this...that never goes away completely." Once I knew that I could kind of plan for it if ya know what I mean. I gotta figure maybe 5 cigars a month is better than 2 packs a day. I'm rootin' for ya.
