Cheers Rob. This is the first time I've seriously used more than 3 layers (i.e. primer, paint & filter/wash) and I'm really happy with the depth that is developing I think I'm comming close to the point where I need to stop- less being more and all that With the dusting on the horizontal surfaces- paint or pigment? Spud- thanks a lot P

Paul I'd go with pigs, but dry if no other weathering is to be done. You can use acrlyics too but with these you need to work fast and in small sections because of the drying time. For the large areas thinned dust color at low pressure from the AB works fine. It's basically up to you and what your comfortable with.

Hello all, thanks for the encouragement! Time for an update: I've been doing a bit of work on the base, a few pics just to get a sense of how it'll all come together. Still needs some filling in with ground cover ,scatter etc. Also, have yet to paint the gun tube, add the drivers hatch and front tow hooks., but I think I'm in the home stretch with this. As always gents - ACW P

Gawd- just noticed some of my spelling over the last few posts - sorie bout dat. Barrel and mantlet now painted and attached, still in need of numerous filters and washes. The purple on the base is not as vivid in the flesh as it appears but I'm still going to tone it down a wee bit. The big white bits are diluted PVA that I'm hoping will dry clear(ish) as standing water. AC&SW The way things are looking I think I might make MoM P

Hey Paul!! First...spelhing iz opshunel!! Everything is looking really good there!!! The base fit the tank...or...the tank fits the base, either way not too bad!!! Not to sure on the white glue drying completely translucent. But you will have to wait ans see I guess!! Could always muddy it up with a heavy wash and hit it with some gloss.
