Back in Blighty after our hols in Belgium. Went to France today and hated it. All the people we spoke to seemed to have a problem with British people so we decided to come home a day early and spend the night in the Clifton hotel right outside the venue for Euro militaire. We are sat outside having drinks as I wright this tomorrow we will have a lazy day here before going back home. Great holiday and we fell in love with Ghent in Belgium.

Thats a bummer Richard i would have liked that.We spent the morning in Folkstone after all getting rather merry last night.Maybe we will meet at Euro? It took six and a half hours to get home to Bournemouth from Folkstone today which should have been 3 hours. Traffic chaos all the way.M25 was a standstill after major accident.Horrible trip home.

Andy A
Nice pictures it always amazes me how the vicious battles that took plce through much of that country and how it looks today. Now that you are fully relaxed I assume we will be treated to some of your great art work.

I'd be really worried about any hotel rooms in Amsterdam with red lighting... It's a beautiful country for sure Andy, looks like a great holiday!

Nice to see some shots you took mate. And cool to read that you actually mentioned 'Brugge' in stead of Bruges! . The second photo where you mentioned Gent is Brugge though Cool you visited the Zoo in Antwerp, next to the very cool train station ey ^^. Went there a lot as a little boy Cheers

Ken the Clifton was loads posher than the carlton but then again i dont think my missus or daughter would stay in the Carlton its more for the rougher pissed up lads type place with no frills.Plus you get what you pay for,we paid £100 for the night in the exectutive suite in the Clifton where as we are booked in for the night in the carlton for Euro for £30. Robbo that is my car cheers. Another view of the Euro militaire venue from underneath This is under the venue for Euro aswell in the park ,Never knew it before.
