Hi guys as well as my JP I have been working on a small dio including some other 1/72 builds . In this one I am using Trumpeters Elefant and Dragon's Bergetiger (P) , both kits were very good with the Dragon kit edging forward in quality. So anyhoo this is the Elefant................ And here is where the Elefant will be living .............. It is basically stuck in the mud with the Bergetiger running alongside to recovery the stricken panzer. Still working on the Bergetiger with weathering but will update with pics soon. There will be seven figures in the final scene , 4 tank crew and 3 grenadiers . Still got a fair bit to do on the base with pigments and oils but the basic composition is there . Cheers Deano

Deano....from my experience...NEVER let the recy vehicle drive into the same ferkin mess the casualty did!!!!let him stand off a bit,and let 1 of the crew get dirty, and have a good looksee, before committing resources,eh? Edit!!! On second thoughts,I've seen the Roadway ,now...so my last statement is really null and void!!!(Ooopps!!! )

Nice work on the Eli Deano. Camo looks great and the base is gonna be perfect. Love how it's weighted into the ground.

Amazing that it's in that scale too! What detail and nice work! I want to do a dio someday soon but I believe it'll have to be small. Jeff

Great camo thats not easy on a small scale vehicle. Just a detail point if it helps if a armoured vehicle bogs in its normally 1. slipped of a road, 2. nose dived so its like a bulldozer but comes a point when nature fights back and the vehicle cant push any more and clear the mud. 3. Bellied out this is more in line with your diorama so just a pointer the tracks still go round and would spray mud across the track. In My time on Tanks I managed all 3 ....mucho Beer to Chris B and his REME boys also might wanna have the tow ropes deployed. Just some pointers if useful Deano not a criticism as its not finished.
Best Regards Mac

That camo is amazing, especially on a 72nd scale tank. Great groundwork as well.

Deano, I think you are trying to fool us that it is 1/72... I think it is really 1/35. What the heck! I can't tell the difference because of it was built very nicely.

Thanks Andy .... oh no the cats out the bag lol tell you what tho, to build both kits in 1/35 would of cost a small fortune whereas these 2 kits only cost 19 quid .Im luvin this scale he he Deano

Sweet Deano, that looks like the same crane as on my JT and you're right about the cost factor. Plus you less of everything, paint, glue, gloss. I'll give you an example. Squadron had a sale a while back and I picked up 6 kits for 60 bucks, how can you beat that?
