Yesterday I shipped three 1/35th figures to Canada to a close friend. It only cost $20 and a tracking number cost $10 extra, total= $30 We are a "Global Village" they say and no country claims to practice "Isolationism". Bull Hockey Tony lee

This is so CRAZY! Last Christmas I shipped a box to a friend in Denmark. It was not that big... just a T-shirt and Oreo Cookies from Sams Club. $55!!! Most expensive cookies eaten ever by my friend for sure...

My wife spends about 15-20k a year shipping with the USPS for her business. I spent a small fortune beginning of the new year so I feel the pain brothers.

It's not just USPS - international shipping is a racket wherever you are.

It is bad...even worse when they tax (hold hostage the package) the individual on the other side about the same amount to pick up their package sometimes!!!! Nuts! My best two was the 4 ounce package to a brotha' in the UK...$26 A 3 pound package to Serbia...$45...left here, took about 3 weeks to get to the border, hung out there for a month then the dingbats in customs thought it was better to send the package back 13000 miles rather than just deliver it 50 miles up the road!! FOund it on my door step 2 months after I sent it!! LOL!! Sometimes it is cheaper to buy what you want to send (not with Steve's Celticwerks stuff of course) online and ship direct! OK...done for now!!

The thing is a 46cent letter goes right along side that $$$$$$$$ package as it travels.
Countries want to keep those sales within their borders so they can collect the taxes and not some other government.
As my dad use to say "Like cutting off your nose to spite your face".

Yeah... those forms are a big pain. I once shipped for an RC tank company for a few years. All in which you receive no extra money for to fill them out so detailed like too. And then the receiving party must pay taxes on? Jeff

Does it have to be a log? I was thinking more of a rock instead. I wouldn't be in the water anyway. Jeff

What do the green and red stars mean under our avatar?

They are based on the number of Post you have, unless yo are Admin or Moderators. All forums have a Ranking of some sort. It's kinda like working in a Factory for 40 years, getting laid off and starting a new job.
