Hi guys started this kit tonight , the main reason I bought this kit was out of curiousity . I had read such good reviews about this kit and the fact it was a snapfit jobby that I had to see for myself. Indeed it does snapfit but Im still using glue ha ha ...... Anyhoo................ Details are not bad however I will still be changing a few things . This is more of a painting excercise for me so I wont be going to town with it . I want to try Panzer Grey in this scale followed by a whitewash .............. These tracks are quite cool and easy to assemble , they clip onto the road wheels and bend around the running gear . This is ok if you want to have the finished model on even ground because thats all the running gear is good for. You would have to change the road wheels and such to articulate the suspension so you would be as well buying a Revell kit for that which comes in at around the same price in the UK. So construction is quick which allows me to get a few upgrades done in quick time . As you can see I have cut the turret to recieve a Revell cupola and this will allow me to have a figure in there . With everything going smoothly I should have the build completed by tomorrow night .........famous last words lol Deano

Cheers Leon this should be a fairly quick build , construction is simple and easy . This is meant to be a Wargamming kit , has to be the best Wargamming kit I have seen . If Zvezda put thier heads together they could really grab a big chunk of the 1/72 WWII market for vehicles.

Hi Bruce , so the lower and upper hull are joined which means I can complete the build on the exterior ...................... Mr Surfacer has been out and he will be back later for the hull Gonna add some stowage to the turret bin and hide the fact it has no latches. Oh yeah and I still need to drill the muzzle brake out lol Cheers Deano

A few of my projects have taken a back seat this week , mainly because of this Panther . Its the Dragon kit and its a great kit in 1/72 if you are thinking of building one.................. Building ban? Sorry to say this... you can not do it yourself. You will have to let me come and take your stash away until you are done with them all. On my way now... That little Panther looks so sexy!

Impressive work and at this scale especially so . Having seen what's in the box! I'd go for the Revell if they're the same price but having said that I've the Dragon mid production somewhere in the stash , maybe one day eh ?

Thanks guys , yeah Steve you are right the Revell kit would be my first choice . Having said that if you bashed Zvesda and Revell you would come out with a great Early Tiger IMO. Both have thier strengths and weak points but Revell wins on quality.
