Nice one you got there Prof! Yesterday my girl went into town and came back with a surprise: I must say I was very happy with that! And the surprise became even bigger. She didn't know it either but when I looked into Art of Modelling (you can compare that mag with AFV Modeller) I suddenly saw my Panther F in a show report of the BSMC...my first model in a mag ever My girl is one out of thousand Cheers

yup Frank, some of those articles are seen elsewhere as well. But that's because Art of Modelling is for the Dutch/French/German language areas, so some of those articles have been published in some other English mags. I must say the article that interested me the most was Michael Rinaldis DAK PzIII, the modern stuff isn't 100% my cup of tea. But I agree, the new AoM is a great issue indeed
Cheers

Yes Dicky, been working on a 'contact' for a few weeks now and he finally came good, picked it up a full £35 less than the various Telford boys so I'm very pleased. Only problemis I want to build it soooo much

Ok chaps, sit down, and no sniggering at the back.....but I've been doing a bit of buying recently, for the big Spit, and the Mustang....purely in preparation, you understand!! Picked up thes fabric seat belts and also the decs for the Tuskegee Mustang ;D I don't know how the decs will sit, when I do get to use them, but they have the least carrier film of any I have encountered so far!! I also captured the 1/32 MkVIII Spit, off evilbay...for £40 less than a certain well known shop over here does it for ;D

Picked this up today, from Lidl's,for the princely sum of £16.99...... Ok,this may not be the best on the market, but it's variable speed(5K-20Krpm),but there is a 3 year warranty,if you can be bothered to send it off. As an 'Ex' golfer,...you can buy all the fancy gear you want,...and you can still play like a P**T!!!....That's me and modelling!! ;D ;D

It's all about maximizing efficiency (Fun) and minimizing the not fun parts of a build. Good thinking and a wise investment in my mind!

I can finally show what I got. It's been a while since I last had any new goodies to show. Went to a rail road show/convention on Sunday with T. There we met up with Scott Girvin, Ken A., Iain (AK) and Ken of Badger Airbrushes. A very good time was had, wish it was longer. Anyhoo, here is what I got from the show. First off a choo choo train. These are some cool things when you actually look at them. I plan on doing some weathering and rusting on this. Something a bit different than the normal tank...and sure to be fun as well. This baby is from moondograilcars.com...check them out for more cool rail cars. Next we have something I have been wanting to try out....acrylic paints from Badger. Seeing how Vallejo and Lifecolor are a bit difficult to obtain here in the US, I think these will fit in perfect and they are easy to get hold off. I bought the weathering set. Mind you that most colors and sets are intended for the RR scene.....but I heard from a very good source that Badger will be working on some armor colors ;D ;D oh yes, these paints are also inexpensive. i paid $14 for the set of 7 1oz bottles. Single bottles go for less than $4 dollars....can't beat that. Continuing with paints, AK Interactive CM set for Panzer Grau tanks. yeah baby. Now for dio stuff. I have been trying to find the Silflor moss at the Scenic express site and didn't see it there, luckily they had a BIG stand at the show with I think everything they make there. I picked up these two...for now And for the scratchbuilder in me.....nuts-bolts-washers from Tichy Train. yep Don Tichy was there and I got to bs with him for a bit, and also talked about possibly coming out with more 1/35 items for us armor freaks. Will be getting in touch with him soon on that and other things. I think now I have atleast one of each rivet and NBW set they make ;D ;D ;D You'll be seeing more of these goodies in up coming builds and reviews.

Rob I was at the show on Sunday, hanging out with Iain H as well for a bit. I walked away with a couple of items set of tube tweezers and a another pair of pliers as well as these lil beauties. ;D Each for only $5.00 not a bad little grouping, will be fun to build these and maybe do some super detailing on them as well. Nice haul you got there yourself Sir, too bad I did not know you guys were going to be there on Saturday I would have gone up then. Cheers, Thom
