Off to a good start Luigi. Don't worry about bench space. I have 7 feet of work bench but usually only work on less than two feet of it. The rest of the bench is catch all space, and like T said, other kits that get started..lol

Rob, I'd trade the bench space for a lot of unfinished models Thanks for joining in. Bruce, glad you liked it

Another little update. The kit has so many small parts that each step takes me some time to complete. I finished the lower hull and started with the upper: The upper is dry fitted, as there are still a lot of small details to add. As always ACW

Bruce, I hope to keep the pace Bones, I'm a WW2 tank builder converted to modern stuff, and I must say that there are a lot of fascinating and less common subjects around. This doesn't mean I won't build WW2 stuff again, it's just I'm broadening my horizons Carl, come on, join the darkrussian side, and bring Andy with you Rob, I'm ready to take that risk BTW I'm planning a total revision of the room where I have my cave and I really hope to get a little more space, just to have a permanent spray booth and some paint racks. Leon, glad you liked it mate

Lui that's a good suggestion .I've got all of these Panzers lined up to build in my mind right now .........I don't know if that's a dream or a nightmare , especially with all of the p.e. I have with them . Maybe a nice green Russian machine would be like a vacation !

Sometimes we have to be careful for what we wish for as what we get is not always what we wanted.

Bones, thanks a lot Every single pic is always helpful If anyone of you will ever do a T-62 send me a message, I have a ton of images and references for every model build, including Tiran 6 Dicky, thanks a lot. I was hoping that the fit would be better, but it's nothing that a little of putty and sanding cannot solve. Bill, it's a time consuming process, but in the end I hope it will pay off. Thanks for your kind comments, BTW Carl, yep, the weathering potential is what drives me towards russian afvs. Green can have so many beautiful tonal variations depending on the place, weather and the way the tank was used. I really enjoyed all the picture closeups that bones shared, they really show how the green varies from light green to a greyish hue with all the sand and dust tones. It will be fun to paint and weather this beast

Have you tried to address the Prague Military Archive? They helped me a lot with my Ju52 project´.

Have you tried to address the Prague Military Archive? They helped me a lot with my Ju52 project´. No, I didn't. What did they provide you? Gents, no update pics today. I managed to assemble the upper part of the hull and to fill a gap on the front. Unfortunately my cellphone, my main camera at the mo, has no battery so I'll have to wait for tomorrow to try to put some pics of the state it's in. Sorry...

I just said I loved 'em... I never said they were any ferkin' good!!! ROFFLMFAO!!! LOL, I love them too. This one at least The only "problem", so to say, are some EPM big enough to have an autonomous life and some, very small, fit issues that I addressed with a little Tamiya putty. Nothing an unexperienced modeler cannot save. I even had to scratch a part that broke when I tried to remove it from the sprue Tomorrow I'll get me a new bottle Tamiya green lid glue and I'll try to move a little forward with this build.

No, I didn't. What did they provide you? Unfortunately not the pictures I needed - simply because there were none, at least officially, in this certain case. But theygave me tons of background information of the KG1 itself etc. Bratislava 68 is another thing of course, but sure is worth a try.

Lucas, I'm wondering whether to contact them or not, I already have a very large pic archive of that event...
Wouter thanks a lot, mate. Did yours have giant EPMs too?

not that I can recall. It was a bit more crude than your average Dragon kit, but I don't think in general the EPM's were giant...I was happily surprised with the quality. Which parts have the giant EPM's in your kit?
Cheers

Phil, welcome aboard, mate I hope to be a little faster than usual with this one Wouter, the engine covers had such huge EPMs that the couldn't close. Luckily they were on the hidden side, so no detail was damaged when I cleaned them. Also the fenders have a lot of nasty ones. The good news are that they are mostly placed where they won't be seen.

Maybe some of their moulds are showing use or maybe it's me that I'm spoiled by Tasca and Dragon... This is one: It's on the interior of the turret so it won't show, but I had to remove some others in places where they prevented a good fit of the parts. Ah, the due update of yesterday's work: I hope you like it, as always ACW
