Leon, too kind Dicky, you're right, maybe 2 are too many BTW don't worry, I love trumpy too, and I'll surely build many more from them, starting form their Kv-2 I already have in my stash, and most likely the upcoming T-72 Bill, I have so many pics of the T-62 that I don't think I'll ever use them all, and still I'd love more I think I'll do at least another one in the future, a mod. 1972 in some exotic fashion

I hope you're right, Guy. I'm surely having fun in building this one, it's a great kit with lots of nice details. It was exactly what I needed to restart after summer break. Geez, those czechs were really courageous, they confronted tanks and AFVs with stones and molotov cocktails. And sometimes they even succeeded. In the end they had to fight a too strong force and they lost:

Thanks a lot Phil I will add all the boxes to the fenders before doing pipes and links. Ah, I just noticed that there was no standard position for those added tanks, 314 in the pic I just posted had it on the right, on top of another tank, while 953 had it on the left on top of the toolbox.

Yep, wouts, that's a real show of strenght and determination. There were some people demonstrating that had hidden under the cloister and one of the attacked tanks decided to get them out. The russians were really determined to stop the revolution...

And here you are the update: I'm fiddling with the added tank, to achieve the correct stance above the tool box. I've got the impression it's still sitting too high, I'll probably lower it a little: And here's the general impression of the state it's in: As always, ACW, either good or bad

1968 was not a good year around the world...there's a lot of speculation among historians as to how things might have been different in Europe had the US not been embroiled in Vietnam but that's neither here nor there in the end. Nice progress there Luigi, definitely adds some extra character to the project.

Carl, thanks a lot mate. Yep, there were surely injuries, if not dead people. The tank destroyed several pillars and the front of the building collapsed. I think I may have a pic of it after, if I manage to find it I'll post it. Leon, I'm trying to sort out if it's the right stance and how it was connected to the piping system Bill, it was a bad year in some regards, but a great one in some others. Great music, for instance, and lots of new ideas. Some good, some others definitely bad, but we are what we are surely because that year brought them. What I'm trying to do is to depict the end of the illusion. A lot of people in Europe believed to URSS propaganda of a happy place where everyone had the same opportunities. The first fissure came in 1956 during Hungarian attempt. But the real shock came from czech spring. It was the first time that media coverage hit URSS, as it was going to do in Afghanistan in 1980s. BTW thanks a lot, I decided to go for this peculiar one because it's not the usual 62 OOB

Looks like some fine progress Luigi. I think the extra tank height looks about right but I wonder if it was mounted on the tool box or if it had mountings coming off of the hull deck? The picture of the tank with the right side mounted tank that is crashing into the building kind of looks like that. Looks kinda like it's offset a bit too.
That last photo would make a great diorama!

John, thanks a lot for your comments. I think the added tank sits a little too high, but I have a couple of pics that show they had two supports in the middle. I suppose they had to add them in a rush so they did what they could. Phil, it's always a pleasure to receive your positive comments, mate

Thanks a lot, Lucas. The idea for the small dio is to replicate the first pic, a man stunned by history in the form of a T-62 passing by his side.
There will be the cobblestone road, a platform and a man (or maybe a couple) watching the steel monster passing by their side.
