Leon, Thanks a lot, there are still a lot of detais to add to the turret and to the hull.
John, thanks a lot, I will see how mine will behave. But first I have to paint all the wheels and the rubber rims separately, as I don't want to mask them.

Here's today update. I almost finished the turret, all it's missing are some handles that will be the test for one of the new tools I should receive next week and some cables attached to the searchlights. Next up will be the boring part, wheels and tracks. As always ACW.

Thanks a lot Phil. I spent the initial part of the morning cleaning the wheels. I almost finished the inner rims, next I'll have to clean the rubber parts that are molded in separate sprues. This is really helpful as the paintjob will be a lot easier without masking Then it will be the track's turn...

Dunno what you have done to me Luigi but I have been seriuosly eyeing up some 1/72 T-55'S and 72's as I cant seem to find a 62 in 1/72. Reckon I will be having a crack at modern Soviet armour very soon ....keep up the good work !

If you're on facebook, look for Fabrizio Repetto, he did a stunning Esci T-62 in 1/72...

Deano, it's more like quicksand, once you start cold war subjects you can never stop Just for a larfe, of the 4 kits I got, two are surely cold war ones, and one can be used for cold war subjects

You've been slipping these updates past me on here somehow Luigi! Nice work on the little details...you've put off the tracks and wheels too long, now they've caught up to you.

And now, finally, the update. I went on doing the hull. First I corrected the stance of the added tank: This way it looks more like the pics I'm using as reference. Then I did all the pipework for the "standard" tanks: In the second pic, the lower pipe is running a little too high, I lowered it right after. And this is what it looks like now: Hope you like it, as always all comments and critiques are warmly welcome Hey Luigi, just discovered your blog here, great work on a very interesting subject. Got me thinking about a modern Russian tank too. BTW, i see you get your raspberry preserve from the right place!

Thanks a lot, Stuart The preserve comes from your nice country, my father brought me some the last time he sailed there

Well, it's been quite a while since I posted something Bad news I had so little bench time during the last three weeks Good news I did something, unfortunately not much: Yes, I did all the wheels. I had to wipe away all the thread marks on the rubber as all the pics show that it took very little time to wipe it away. I hope to start painting the rims and the rubber soon. As always ACW...

Looks like you're having fun, Luigi, and like you're off to an excellent start. I like the job on the aux tank plumbing.

You've nothing to worry about Luigi, you're still moving faster on this one than Andy is on his DUKW! Nice work on the tires, I beat cleaning off all those mold seams was a delicate balancing act.

Russ, thanks a lot mate Bill, it needed more patience than balancing, it's such a time consuming task...
