Hi there, love Tamiya kits and this old school Sd Kfz 223 is no exception. Added some resin parts for the interior but limited aftermarket stuff for the exterior. The cupola isn't airbrushed yet and I have still to add some extra detailing there.   After a brown on white preshade I gave her a coat of Tamiya desert & dark yellow and did some light colored dry brushing on several spots. Next a purity seal varnish from the spray can.   Just putted on some decals and this one is ready to be weathered. Don't know yet what kind of vignette or dio I will put her in. Bye, Marcel. |

Thnx folks! Haha, I'm still thinking about the vignette or dio setting but the Africa campaign offers a lot of inspiration. Started with the weathering. Never did a DAK vehicle so this is quite new to me. Especially the Desert yellow over Panzer grey weathering in not over doing it is challenging. I'm quite happy with the result so far but it's hard working....    The chips & streaks are done with transparent burnt umber and Neutral grey value 5 from Liquitex & Neutral grey from Schmincke aero color. Both are acrylic inks. There's still a lot to be done but it's a fun ride.  Bye, Marcel. |
