Hey chaps the Zrinyi has been testing my patience recently i was nearing completion on the detail parts then the dreaded carpet monster swallowed a few parts then while mating the upper and lower hull i snapped off a piece on the suspension arm this was lost into the modelling abyss too so i have decided to leave this project until i have de stressed a little it is a great detailed kit but is a fiddly ferker i apologise to all of you who have been watching this project progress and want more updates i feel if i dont stop now i will end up smashing it in a rage lol

Dan I don't think I can help you out any. The only left over parts I have are
the parts for those skirts.

I always drop other things and then look for them and that way i'll find the parts I couldn't find.

Those are always the tough ones as they can really sap the mojo. Only way to tackle them is to do it in short targeted sessions to avoid it becoming a slog. I'm confident you can beat it into submission!

Hope you make it to the paint phase! I'm half Hungarian (grandfather fled Hungary with the whole family during the revolution in 1956) so I have a bit of a soft spot for their armor.

Hey chaps as the JS-2 is nearing completion and waiting for its tracks i decided to get the Zrinyi out and get her build wise finished i also wanted to add something to the model as it looks very boring i came up with an idea of it using some German Schurzen stolen from a damaged/destroyed Jagdpanzer/Stug and while browsing through ref pics i came across a Jagdpanzer with swing Schurzen (i dont know what the real name for this armour is so swing armour will have to be it for now lol ) after using some bits of plasticard taaddaa it was created then i moved onto using scrap PE to make a stowage cage on the rear deck copied from a Stug this will store stowage when the build is completed so this build is leaning towards the idea of the Germans now using this alongside there Stugs and Jagdpanzers a what if scenario

Dicky thanks buddy i wouldnt say it is a complete soul destroyer or bad kit just in some areas it was so over engineered IMHO the kit is a bit pricey for such a plain tank but you do get some nice extra goodies with it so its not all bad but apart from that im enjoying the project more now

Andy they sure are buddy they are awesome the detail is excellent too and you get loads in a bag enough to do 3 to 4 builds you wont have to wait long for primer as i got that done last night

Bill thanks buddy is there a name for this type of Schurzen? its quite rare i think as i have not seen many in pics glad you like the additions

Cheers CB will be making a start on this tonight trying a new technique using a black and white preshade so that i can use straight green over the top instead CM this time but i will see how it goes

These are a very cool addition to the Z. The swingers are not as common as the hanger type but they did exist. They should overlap the other way though so the edge doesn't catch on obstacles as easily.
