Nice start to the paint work Dan, Mak's pointed you in the right direction regarding the 'swinger' schurzen.

Pete cheers buddy this is the 1st time im using the pre shade B&W Technique and im liking the results Wingnut thank you i would love to slap the decals on and call it finished too Luigi thanks Lui i appreciate your comment As promised i have been giving the Zyrinyi and all of its wheels a basecoat for this i used Olive drab mixed with a hint of yellow and white to warm and lighten the green this was thinned with Mr Hobby levelling thinners it was thinned to roughly 60% thinners to 40% paint once this had dried i made a highlight colour and thinned it further and made this a filter/highlight sprayed through the AB in light mist coats next up i will be applying a camo scheme. Dan don't lighten the green anymore than it is. Hungarian green was darker than Russian green, When you put your wash on it should be about right. You did good Tony lee

Hey chaps with the weekend here and the missus out christmas shopping i had a good morning at the bench after painting and assembling the roadwheels onto the axles these were fitted to the suspension units then i mixed up a filter using AK Dark Streaking Grime with white spirit the mix was roughly 80% thinners to 20% paint some areas recieved a few coats to darken the light green using the AB i dried the filter and gave it a coat of Tamiya clear this was then set aside to dry Then i made a start on the Schurzen panels whilst browsing through some Panzerwrecks books i came across a B&W pic of a PZ IV with a very basic camo pattern which i think would of be a green and red brown sprayed in lines this was going to be my ref for my camo Paints i used for basecoat and highlight Then a shadow mix for lower areas to aid the weathering stages Now the camo lines were added I have the back sides of panels to get done next then a wash and chipping Original plans for this was to have a field applied camo put over the Hungarian green as this is now attached to Stug Jadgpanzer unit i am unsure what to do as im liking the green now what do you chaps think? I'd say stick with the green, they wouldn't necessarily repaint the whole vehicle to match the others right away. Would make a nice contrast to the schurzen for sure.

I agree with Bill, stick to the green. It's so nice it would be a sin to strip it
